Warren Huntly’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on May 15, 2025May 15, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Up to 10mm of rain forecast to fall during race day, so obviously important to keep an eye on conditions and any pattern that may evolve. ONE HARD LADY has impressed at her three wins to date and looks capable of measuring up. HARRY’S YACHT was ridden to suit the pattern first up but there was still merit in his victory and he’ll strip fitter. GRINZINGER SUN had the pattern against behind Harry’s Yacht last start and all her previous form is solid. RUNLIKENENCRYPTION, like One Hard Lady, has impressed in her wins to date and will strip fitter second up. Selections: 6,2,9,7 Suggested Bet: One Hard Lady each way Race 2 THE OPPORTUNIST has returned in good form and gives the impression 1400m will be ok. RUMBLE TOWN didn’t have the best of luck second up and looks a likely improver with blinkers on. HIGHVOL did a good job to win a Listed race on debut and should be even better for that outing. BUCCLEUCH rises significantly in distance but has jumped out ok between runs and worked through line strongly on debut over 1000m. Selections: 3,14,1,9 Suggested Bet: The Opportunist each way Race 3 Even race. CINDY FALLS looks worthy of an each way play at decent odds. She generally runs well first up and has jumped out in good style to resume. HEARCOMESTHESTAR won well first up, she should strip fitter and is a previous second up winner. QUISEEN is building a handy record and can stalk the speed. STAR SIRIUS brings some solid SA form and the stable have a great record at identifying the right horses to travel to Vic. Selections: 4,2,10,12 Suggested Bet: Cindy Falls each way Same Race Multi: Hearcomesthestar (Top 2) + Cindy Falls (Top 4) Race 4 KALKALLO doesn’t run poorly and maps for a good run following his last start victory in a similar race. FROM A DISTANCE has been good at both runs to date and the King Of Enterprise form should hold up here. RUE DE ROYALE tested Kalkallo last time and can make his own luck. NOSTRINGSATTACHED wasn’t suited by the tempo in the same race as Kalkallo and Rue De Royale and can bounce back. Selections: 7,14,3,2 Suggested Bet: Kalkallo each way Race 5 STYLISH SECRET and OXFORD BLUE come through the same race and there was plenty of merit in both of their efforts. Stylish Secret made an early move and only grabbed late, when jumping form 1600-2000m, while Oxford Blue did some early work and was entitled to tire late. SOMEWHERE and NAINA both give the impression they will be suited rising to 2000m. Selections: 3,4,2,12 Suggested Bet: Stylish Secret each way Race 6 KING ZEPHYR looks highly promising, the straight track may be some query, but he appears most tractable and will be strong late on the fresh side coming back to 1200m. RUNNING BY generally runs well first up and has jumped out in typically good fashion to resume. AVIATRESS has been below her best at her last couple but respect the stable bringing her back to Vic. CODIGO is having a great prep and handles the straight well. LIM’S KOSCIUSZKO is an intriguing runner, he was a star in Singapore and has been jumping out ok. Selections: 11,3,2,13 Suggested Bet: King Zephyr to win Race 7 Competitive race. BERKSHIRE BREEZE has the wide draw to contend with and was well below market expectations at Mornington last start, but his previous run here behind Deakin would have him hard to beat. SMOKIN’ ROMANS has raced himself back into form and isn’t badly treated by the set weights scale. TORRANZINO chased well behind Smokin’ Romans in the Warrnambool Cup and seems to go well for Celine Gaudray. ATHABASCAN gets blinkers off and winkers on following a slid run in the Sydney Cup. ALMA RISE is a promising staying type but probably doesn’t want the track too deep into the soft range. MOSTLY CLOUDY races well here and is among the other winning hopes. Selections: 12,1,6,3 Suggested Bet: Berkshire Breeze each way Race 8 Another competitive race. SUPARAZI is fit, consistent and had the track pattern against at Moonee Vally last start. EL ROCKO was able to capitalise on that pattern and any rain during the day would enhance his chances. WINGS OF SONG and SEONEE both worked home well in Adelaide last start and should cope with whatever the prevailing track conditions are. VERDAD has enhanced his winning strike rate recently and seems to go best for Ben Melham. HELLSING and CHORLTON LANE are in the mix. Selections: 5,13,10,9 Suggested Bet: Suparazi each way Race 9 TROSETTEE ran well first up, he was advantaged by the rain affected track first up and any rain during the day would be to his advantage again. LIBERAMI is having a great prep, he jumped out in great style between runs and give the impression he’ll cope with 1800m. MAGARTEN hit he line strongly behind a smart one second up in Sydney and handles wet ground. AMBASSADORIAL should be at peak fitness now and has the early speed to offset the wide draw. SAMUEL LANGHORNE has jumped out well but may be looking for further. Selections: 7,17,10,12 Suggested Bet: Trosettee each way Market Market
