Warren Huntly’s Saturday Caulfield Preview Posted on September 18, 2025September 18, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 PRESSER stuck on ok against the pattern last start and can settle closer. PRINCE ERIC had had little luck of late and also stuck on well after a tough run last time. NATION’S CALL has jumped out well to resume and is generally effective fresh. AL DUCA is race fit and can make his own luck from an awkward draw. FARHH FLUNG got a deserved win last time and has claims again. Selections: 8,5,7,4 Suggested Bet: Presser each way Race 2 SHADHAVAR is sure to be fitter after jumping to 1400m last start and prove hard to catch. CAVITY BAY kicks off at a suitable trip following some encouraging jumpouts. EAGLE EXPRESS is racing in good form and maps for great run. FLYER is on trial at 1400m but giving the impression it will be ok. DEEP PLEASURE is building a handy record and ran well at her only start here. PARADISE CITY jumps in distance from a wide draw but was an eye catcher first up. Selections: 9,5,7,2 Suggested Bet: Shadhavar each way Race 3 Typically even mares race. MIRAVAL ROSE will strip fitter for her solid first up run behind a horse with strong Group 1 aspirations later in the day. AUSTMARR is a previous first up winner and has been given plenty of jumpouts to be ready first up. LOVELYCUT found it too short first up and is suited by the rise in trip. SEE YOU IN HEAVEN will be strong late. STRETAN ANGEL was too close to a hot speed last start and is better ridden a bit more conservatively. Selections: 4,2,10,1 Suggested Bet: Miraval Rose each way Race 4 Should be good speed, which should suit OAK HILL. Happy to forgive his previous 1100m runs and this race sets up well for him to settle and swoop late. NADAL is highly talented and has jumped out ok to resume. TIGER SHARK hit the line well in Sydney and his previous form lines up with Oak Hill. RED H0T NICC is racing well, he’ll be part of the speed and give a sight. The best of JIGSAW would be right in the mix. It’s a while since we’ve seen it but he’s trialling well. Selections: 4,1,6,7 Suggested Bet: Oak Hill to win Race 5 PLANET RED looks promising, he should love the rise to 1400m and should settle closer than last start. STAY COSMIC and ESTREMO have obvious claims through the same form line. BINGI rises in grade but will make his own luck. SPACE RIDER gets a tongue tie on after preforming below par in the key lead up race. BACASH is some query at the trip but could give a sight. Selections: 6,5,7,4 Suggested Bet: Planet Red each way Race 6 Competitive race. CHERISH ME has the wide draw to contend with but there should be decent speed and she gives the impression she’ll relish 1400m. VIVID SUN is lightly raced with upside and also should love getting out to 1400m. CHATEAU EZE, RUSKA ROMA and YUM all impressed winning easier races last start and look capable of going on. SPICY LU had decent from last prep and will strip fitter second up. Selections: 5,6,12,4 Suggested Bet: Cherish Me each way Race 7 BUCKAROO struck great from this time last year and looks well placed stepping up in distance second up. MOIRA has been very good at her two Melbourne runs and shapes as a strong danger getting to 1800m. SIR DELIUS shapes as the other key winning chance following his strong first up run at 1600m. SMOKIN’ ROMANS, GOLDEN PATH and MIDDLE EARTH have some claims. Selections: 2,10,9,3 Suggested Bet: Buckaroo each way Same Race Multi: Buckaroo (Top 2) + Moira (Top 4) Race 8 ANGEL CAPITAL should be suited by a reasonable speed and looks hard to beat to record his first Group 1 victory. SEPALS has plenty of upside, he struck a suitable race last start but is open to further improvement. ANOTHER WIL was below his best first up but should appreciate the drop back to handicap conditions, despite carrying top weight. MISS ROUMBINI was very good after working behind a multiple Group 1 winner last start. FEROCE retuned well and looks suited at 1400m. DAMASK ROSE is a real talent and her chances would be enhanced with a clean get away. Selections: 9,16,1,15 Suggested Bet: Angel Capital to win Race 9 BERKSHIRE BREEZE will strip fitter for a solid return and has the versatility to take advantage of the draw. HALF YOURS has relished the rise in trip for the new stable and looks hard to beat should he gain a start. STATUARIO and BRAYDEN STAR (needs scratchings to gain a start) have strong claims through the Berkshire Breeze form line. TORRANZINO likes it here and will strip fitter. BIRDMAN is right in the game, should he run here and not in Sydney. Selections: 10,17,16,18 Suggested Bet: Berkshire Breeze each way Race 10 WHISKY ON THE HILL gets his latest from tested in the previous race, he likes it here and should appreciate the rise to 2000m. MR VERSE is going through the grades in impressive style and shapes like 2000m will be ok. KINGS VALLEY is progressing well this prep but needs some luck from the draw. GILDED WATER started fav behind UNLIMITED and others and is sure to strip fitter. LITZDEEL did enough first up in the Unlimited race and maps well. Selections: 3,10,5,8 Suggested Bet: Whisky On The Hill each way Market Market
