Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 19, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 BOB WHEEL (5) has faced the breeze at three of his last four starts against stronger fields and has performed well on each occasion. He should settle in front of his main rivals tonight and should give a great sight. THE LAST PARISIAN (8) has trialled nicely since his last start failure and looks to have plenty of ability. THE ARSONIST (2) looks a big improver after finally getting a decent barrier. CUT ABOVE (3) had a lovely run when winning midweek and can be placed here. Tips: 5 8 2 3 Suggested Bet: BOB WHEEL (5) each way. Race 2 VINCENZO PERUGGIA (3) looked sharp when facing the breeze and being narrowly beaten here in 1.55.2 last week. He is drawn to be right on the speed and appeals as the one to beat. NEIGHLOR (1) has disappointed since leading throughout here three starts back but is drawn to lead and can bounce back. WALKINSHAW (6) looked to get unbalanced at a crucial stage here last week and can be prominent tonight. CUT FOR AN ACE (2) should get a lovely run just behind the speed and can be placed. Tips: 3 1 6 2 Suggested Bet: VINCENZO PERUGGIA (3) to win. Race 3 WARFARE (1) was an impressive all-the-way winner the last time he drew an inside barrier and looks the horse to beat tonight. BETTOR REWARD (4) sizzled around the track in his 1.52.7 win here last week and must be considered despite being unlikely to find the top. MAD ROBBER (2) has led throughout to win his last two starts and should be thereabouts from his nice draw. HOT FRATERNITY (3) will find this harder than his last start win but should get a nice run in transit. Tips: 1 4 2 3 Suggested Bet: WARFARE (1) to win. Race 4 BLETCHLEY PARK (2) was a dominant winner at this track before being unable to catch the leader in a sprint home here last week. He should find the front tonight and will be very hard to catch. OCEAN RIDGE (9) looked back to his best when held up for a run before thundering home to finish 2nd here last week and is the other class runner of this field. FREE TO AIR (1) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be placed. PRADAS IDEAL DAHLING (5) will be a place chance if he can get the right run close to the speed. Tips: 2 9 1 5 Suggested Bet: BLETCHLEY PARK (2) to win. Race 5 EL JACKO (2) started from the backline and got out late when 2nd to OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (9) here last week. He finally draws a good barrier and should prove hard to beat. VAMPIRO (3) couldn’t get into the race here last week but should take up the position in the breeze and be right in the finish tonight. OUR CORELLI (11) wasn’t suited in the breeze last week but should get a nice run in the moving line and shouldn’t be far away. THEREUGO (1) has options at the start and will be thereabouts throughout. Tips: 2 3 11 1 Suggested Bet: EL JACKO (2) to win. Race 6 MAJOR POCKET (3) has finished 2nd at five of his past seven starts and should be right in the finish again. He can push forward and take up his favoured position in the breeze and should give a great sight. JAMES BUTT (5) disappointed at his last start but has since recorded an impressive Byford trial victory and must be considered. PRESIDENTMACH (1) sat on Wildwest when 2nd to that star pacer recently and looks a player from the pole. HY LEEXCITING (2) is flying and looks a great each way chance from his nice draw. Tips: 3 5 1 2 Suggested Bet: MAJOR POCKET (3) to win. Race 7 IDEAL ONE (1) has hit peak form and will be extremely hard to beat if he can hold up at the start. CARTER MICHEAL (4) has been placed at his past eight starts including a close 2nd here last week and will be right in the finish again. THE TRILOGY (2) was a good all-the-way winner here two weeks ago before being held up for a run last start and will become the one to beat if he can cross the polemarker. PIERRE WHITBY (3) is racing consistently and shouldn’t be far away from his nice draw. Tips: 1 4 2 3 Suggested Bet: IDEAL ONE (1) to win. Race 8 WESLEY (5) returned to his best form when facing the breeze and battling on well to finish 3rd to Bettor Reward in slick time. He has good gate speed and will give a great sight if he can cross at the start. ARDENS CONCORD (1) has been unplaced at his three starts this time in but looks a big improver from the pole. SWEET N FAST (6) is now with Clinton Hall and will run a big race if he can produce his best. SMOLDERING ASHES (4) is always dangerous with the right run close to the speed. Tips: 5 1 6 4 Suggested Bet: WESLEY (5) to win. Race 9 ARMA INDIE (1) has impressed in winning here three starts back from a spell and should lead and prove very hard to beat again. HIT IT RICH (2) is drawn to be right in the firing line throughout and should be in the finish. JUST ROCKON BYE (8) was enormous when facing the breeze and defeating HIT IT RICH (2) last week but has a tough draw to overcome. DELIGHTFULREACTION (3) has been placed at three of her last four starts and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 1 2 8 3 Suggested Bet: ARMA INDIE (1) to win. Race 10 ATHEBASCAN (8) has been placed at his two starts back from a spell and the efforts have been full of merit. He is drawn wide again but should still give a great sight. BAD ROUND (1) has been placed at three of his last four starts and should be right in the thick of things from the pole. EXTREME PRINCE (4) is in career best form and looks the other winning chance. ROCK ME OVER (3) is a consistent type but is developing into a non-winner. Tips: 8 1 4 3 Suggested Bet: ATHEBASCAN (8) to win. Market Market
