Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on August 16, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 KING OF SWING (2) has finished near the rear at his last five starts but could get his chance tonight. He has a stablemate drawn to his inside and will be extremely hard to beat if he can obtain his favoured front-running role. MAD ROBBER (1) is a good leader but may relinquish that role tonight and looks a great place chance. SPEED MAN (11) was a dominant 1.55.7 winner here last week and is a winning chance if the race is run to suit. THE MIDAS TOUCH (10) looks a rough place chance from this draw. Tips: 2 1 11 10 Suggested Bet: MAD ROBBER (1) each way. Race 2 MAJOR POCKET (6), has finished 2nd at his past three starts in collectively stronger fields than he meets tonight. He is drawn outside his main rival but should still prove hard to beat. CARTER MICHEAL (5) had been building up to a win before recording an impressive all-the-way victory last start. This looks harder but he should fight out the finish. THE WAR NURSE (8) continues to race well and could cross them at the start. SMOLDERING ASHES (3) is best suited racing with a sit close to the lead and gets that opportunity tonight. Tips: 6 5 8 3 Suggested Bet: MAJOR POCKET (6) to win. Race 3 PRADAS IDEAL DAHLING (3) was a good winner over One Off Delight before being unable to make ground in a quick last half when 8th to the same pacer last week. This looks an easier assignment and he should prove hard to beat. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (1) has been placed at four of his past five starts and looks the main danger from the pole. SON OF A TIGER (8) finished alongside PRADAS IDEAL DAHLING (3) last week and looks the other winning chance. FREE TO AIR (10) looks a great place chance from his nice trailing draw. Tips: 3 1 8 10 Suggested Bet: PRADAS IDEAL DAHLING (3) to win. Race 4 OUR CORELLI (1) won six on end, mostly after leading, before finishing midfield behind Handsandwheels at his last two starts. He gets his chance to lead here and will give them something to catch. VAMPIRO (7) led throughout at his first run back from a spell before having no chance last week and looks the main danger despite the draw. EL JACKO (8) needs the right cart into the race but will be dangerous if that eventuates. HERRICK ROOSEVELT (12) lacks a turn of foot but is suited by the staying trip. Tips: 1 7 8 12 Suggested Bet: OUR CORELLI (1) to win. Race 5 AMELIAS COURAGE (1) doesn’t appear to be racing at her top but gets her chance to break back into the winners’ circle tonight. She looks the leader and her main rivals have all fared poorly at the draw. CRYSTAL SPARKLES (5) started from this barrier when a solid winner here last week and should be thereabouts again. SHE COULD BE GOOD (8) has flashed home to be placed at her last two starts and will be charging home again. WHITBYS GAMBLE (10) goes up in class but can be placed from her perfect draw. Tips: 1 5 8 10 Suggested Bet: AMELIAS COURAGE (1) to win. Race 6 DOMINATE THE DOJO (8) has been placed at his past seven starts in better fields than he meets tonight. He is drawn wide but has blistering gate speed and will be hard to catch if he crosses at the start. ROCK ME OVER (2) has been placed at his last three starts including a narrow 2nd here last week and looks a major player from this draw. HOT FRATERNITY (6) will be fitter for her first-up 2nd and looks set for a good campaign. WAIMAC ATTACK (5) was held up for a run here last week and should make his presence felt tonight. Tips: 8 2 6 5 Suggested Bet: DOMINATE THE DOJO (8) to win. Race 7 CONVERT DENARIO (3) led throughout to record a dominant 1.54.9 victory before taking on the state’s best pacers when narrowly beaten by Handsandwheels. This looks an easier assignment and he is the one to beat. BETTOR REWARD (6) faced the breeze when a solid winner here last week and looks the main danger to his stablemate. BECHERS BROOK (4) has finished 4th behind Major Trojan at his last two starts and can be in the money here. INFINITE SYMBOL (2) is racing consistently and should settle in a nice position. Tips: 3 6 4 2 Suggested Bet: CONVERT DENARIO (3) to win. Race 8 ELOQUENT MACH (9) has resumed from a spell with two impressive standing start wins. This looks a harder assignment but he is still the one to beat. ATMOSPHERICAL (1) galloped at a crucial stage when a 1.5m 2nd to ELOQUENT MACH (9) at his last start and looks the main danger from the pole. ONE OFF DELIGHT (6) was an impressive all-the-way winner at his first start for a new stable but hasn’t been as effective racing from behind. THE DALI EXPRESS (3) would be a chance if he found the top based on his win three starts back. Tips: 9 1 6 3 Suggested Bet: ELOQUENT MACH (9) to win. Race 9 WILDWEST (9) has created a big impression in winning his three career starts and looks the winner here despite drawing the outside gate. BEAUDIENE WESTERN (4) trailed WILDWEST (9) when a 10m 2nd to that pacer at his last start and can be placed again. ROBBIE EASTON (6) raced in top company last time in and can play a part first-up from a spell. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE (3) overcame a backline draw to record a 1.54.7 Pinjarra victory on Monday and should be thereabouts from this draw. Tips: 9 4 6 3 Suggested Bet: WILDWEST (9) to win. Race 10 MARCOTTI (3) won his first two race starts and resumed from a spell with a close up 5th at this track. He should be fitter for that run and can take advantage of a favourable barrier. ARISTOCRATIC STAR (4) has been placed at nine of his eleven race starts and should be right in the firing line tonight. REMIT ME WHITBY (2) is an improving type who must be considered on his all-the-way win on Monday. STAR FROMTHEPALACE (8) has been hampered by wide draws but continues to race well and can figure. Tips: 3 4 2 8 Suggested Bet: MARCOTTI (3) to win. Market Market
