Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 22, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 KERRIN JOSEPH (4) is working back to peak form, with game 2nds at his last two starts. He is nicely drawn and should give a great sight. OUR CORELLI (7) disappointed at his only run last time in but is the class runner of the field and must be respected. WAIMAC ATTACK (3) led throughout here two starts back and would be hard to catch if he found the top. LOT TWENTY ONE (2) ran on well to finish 3rd here last week and now starts from the pole. Tips: 4 7 3 2 Suggested Bet: KERRIN JOSEPH (4) to win. Race 2 LUIS ALBERTO (10) won three on end before performing well without winning at his last two starts. He is drawn to get a lovely run on the pegs and will be hard to hold out if he has any luck in the final circuit. CLARENDEN HUSTLER (1) won two on end in similar fields before struggling when up in class at his last two but will give a great sight here. JUST BET ON BLACK (4) was a strong winner in a weaker field at his last start and can make his presence felt. SMOLDERING ASHES (2) is drawn to be thereabouts. Tips: 10 1 4 2 Suggested Bet: LUIS ALBERTO (10) each way. Race 3 HERRICK ROOSEVELT (6) has been placed at three of his five starts this time in and is ready to stamp his authority on a race. He was held up last week but can push forward at the start here and use his strength to advantage. KIMANI (2) was impressive in winning here last week and the rise in class is offset by his perfect draw. THE ART FORM (11) is better known as a frontrunner but can unwind a big finishing burst tonight. IM SOXY (12) was beaten as a short-priced favourite last week but can still be in the money here. Tips: 6 2 11 12 Suggested Bet: HERRICK ROOSEVELT (6) to win. Race 4 CAVIAR STAR (3) has recorded five wins and three 2nds this from his eight starts this time in, including a solid win over Herrick Roosevelt last start. This is his biggest test to date but he is well drawn and should give a great sight. VULTAN TIN (5) keeps putting up brave performances without winning and can push forward and be right in the finish again. ALWAYS ARJAY (10) won a similar event here two starts back and must be considered. HANDSANDWHEELS (11) is in career best form and shouldn’t be overlooked. Tips: 3 5 10 11 Suggested Bet: ALWAYS ARJAY (10) each way. Race 5 PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (1) has won eight of his nine starts this time in and should lead here and looks extremely hard to beat. FRANCO EDWARD (9) was ultra-impressive last start in sitting outside ELOQUENT MACH (11) and defeating that gelding and can overcome the wide draw. MAJOR TROJAN (8) has run on well to finish 2nd at his first two runs in the state and looks to have a big future. ELOQUENT MACH (11) has won his last two starts and must be respected despite the backline draw. Tips: 1 9 8 11 Suggested Bet: PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (1) to win. Race 6 LADY DE LA RENTA (2) ran on well from the rear to finish a close 2nd to Our Alfie Romeo here last week. She is better drawn tonight and appeals as the one to beat. MISS SANGRIAL (3) was held up down the back and ran to finish 4th in the same event and looks the main danger. ROCKNROLL BABY (1) has battled bad draws since returning to pacing events and could be a big improver. MADAME MEILLAND (6) is first up from a spell but raced in stronger fields last time in and must be considered. Tips: 2 3 1 6 Suggested Bet: LADY DE LA RENTA (2) to win. Race 7 DRACARYS (5) has won eight of her 13 race starts and been placed in three others. She ran a close 2nd to Typhoon Tiff before recording a comfortable victory at Bunbury. She looks to have a class edge on her rivals and is clearly the one to beat. MAJORPRIDE (3) has been placed at both of her starts this campaign and should be in the money. SOHO INTERCEPTOR (2) has disappointed this campaign but looks a good place chance here. COUNTESS GRACE (6) is up to these but is drawn awkwardly. Tips: 5 3 2 6 Suggested Bet: Quinella: MAJORPRIDE (3) & DRACARYS (5). Race 8 MISTER BUSHIDO (1) was a good winner three starts back and hasn’t had much luck since. He is drawn perfectly here and looks the one to beat. ATMOSPHERICAL (11) started from a similar draw when a strong winner here last week and must be considered again. LIBERTY ROSE (12) has had no luck at her last two starts and will be finishing strongly. LINCS TIGER (5) couldn’t make ground in a quickly run race last week but this looks easier. Tips: 1 11 12 5 Suggested Bet: MISTER BUSHIDO (1) to win. Race 9 MARCOTTI (1) led and sprinted home in 27.6 when a comfortable winner on debut. He has the draw to take up the running and will give a great sight. CLASSY COLBY (2) sat behind the leader when proving too good at his debut and is likely to enjoy a similar run tonight. TEAM MASCOT (5) has been placed at both of his starts and should be in the money again. KEPTAIN COURAGEOUS (6) has been placed at all three starts and looks to have plenty of ability but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 1 2 5 6 Suggested Bet: MARCOTTI (1) to win. Race 10 DOUBLE EXPRESSO (4) has been ultra-impressive in winning all three starts and is clearly the one to beat again. SOHO WHISPER (2) has won as she has liked in her two starts but will have to improve her times significantly to challenge the favourite. MOON GODDESS (1) was only beaten 5.5m by DOUBLE EXPRESSO (5) at her last start and should be in the money again. BRAVE LADY (5) has been placed at two of her three race starts but will find it tough from this draw. Tips: 4 2 1 5 Suggested Bet: DOUBLE EXPRESSO (4) to win. Market Market
