Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on December 18, 2025December 19, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 WHOS THE DAD (1) has been unplaced in all 15 starts this time in but his last effort indicated he was getting back to his best. He has a good record at this trip and will give a great sight if he can hold up at the start. THELITTLE MASTER (9) is yet to win in 13 attempts at the sprint distance but he will be charging home if there is an early speed battle. FLYING RUMOUR (2) has been disappointing but he follows speed well and should enjoy a nice run. MAJOR JAY (4) can work in his races and should make his presence felt. Tips: 1 9 2 4 Suggested Bet: WHOS THE DAD (1) each way. Race 2 FAT LOUIE (8) was a good winner here before looking disappointing when 5th to Nathan Street at his last start. They ran a slick time on that occasion and I think the winning time will be a couple of seconds slower tonight and he should run a big race. NORTHVIEW DANCE (3) was first-up for eight weeks when a strong 3rd here last week and should be prominent throughout. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (1) has won two of her last five starts and has options from the pole. SWEET IVY (2) has been placed at her last three starts and looks a good each way chance at double figure odds. SKIP A BEAT (9) has ability but looks under the odds in early markets. Tips: 8 3 1 2 Suggested Bet: FAT LOUIE (8) each way. Race 3 SPYGLASS (3) has been battling wide barriers but he will be prominent throughout tonight and appeals as the one to beat. SORRIDERE (7) finished 2nd at his last start in a stronger field and should fight out the finish again. SOHO VESPER LIND (1) has been racing well when driven softly and I expect her to sit on one of the favoured runners tonight and she should be thereabouts under that scenario. TIGER ROYAL (6) is in career best form and will break back into the winners’ circle soon. Tips: 3 7 1 6 Suggested Bet: SPYGLASS (3) to win. Race 4 ROLLING FIRE (1) improved sharply third-up when a narrow but impressive winner of the Pacing Cup Consolation. The rise in class is offset by the pole draw and he should lead and prove hard to catch. GOLDEN LODE (6) hit the line nicely when 4th in the WA Pacing Cup and is the horse on the way up. GEE HEZA SPORT (8) ran 2nd to Minstrel in the JP Stratton Cup two starts back and can overcome the wide barrier. MAGNUS VICTOR (10) should enjoy a snice run on the pegs and can be in the money at odds. BETTER ECLIPSE (2) will be in the market but had every chance in the Cup and was found wanting. Tips: 1 6 8 10 Suggested Bet: ROLLING FIRE (1) to win Race 5 NATHAN STREET (9) broke through for his first win in WA when he overcame this draw in quick time. This field has more depth but it was an impressive victory. THE IRON DUKE (6) has won two of his last three starts and his versatility will help from this draw. BLAZING REACTOR (5) led when 3rd to NATHAN STREET (9) and will give a great sight again if he can cross at the start. MENEMSHA (8) will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. There are plenty of other chances and you could easily include 7,10,11 and 12 in your quaddies. Tips: 9 6 5 8 Suggested Bet: NATHAN STREET (9) to win. Race 6 AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (8) defeated a similar field at her last start and goes on top after drawing to the inside of her main rival. PENNY BLACK (9) didn’t have much luck when taking on the boys in the big races in her last three starts but will love being back against her own sex and should fight out the finish. MADAM PUBLISHER (4) was beaten in a photo by AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (8) last start and the gap between them in the market looks too wide. DAME VALOUR (1) is racing well and has options from the pole. Tips: 8 9 4 1 Suggested Bet: MADAM PUBLISHER (4) each way. Race 7 QUINTON (2) has been racing consistently without winning but looks the likely leader here and he should prove hard to catch. MIKIS PRIDE (7) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last two starts in stronger company and should be in the finish. SWEET COCO (8) is hit or miss and has been miss lately but has the ability to win if she does things right. ROCK ME OVER (1) isn’t suited at the sprint trip but he should enjoy a nice run behind the speed and can be placed. Tips: 2 7 8 1 Suggested Bet: QUINTON (2) to win. Race 8 CHAMPAGNE EVERYONE (6) is first-up for a new stable and hasn’t been seen in trials but she looks the class runner of the field and will be hard to beat if near her top. GREVIS (10) will enjoy a soft run on the pegs and will be dangerous if he sees daylight at the right time. BENJI (9) has hood type blinkers added and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he improved sharply. SYNCHRONIZER (1) doesn’t have the class of the main players but has the advantage of the pole draw. Tips: 6 10 9 1 Suggested Bet: CHAMPAGNE EVERYONE (6) to win. Race 9 WANDERING GIRL (12) was found wanting after doing too much work in a quickly run race at Pinjarra but her previous form is good enough for a race of this nature. JAXON MORGAN (9) is suited this grade and should be close to his best at his third run back from a break. JOLTED CHARM (5) is another who will appreciate a drop in class and may be able to cross at the start. CULLEN STAR (10) is drawn awkwardly but will be finishing strongly if the breaks come his way. Tips: 12 9 5 10 Suggested Bet: WANDERING GIRL (12) to win. Race 10 MALAKIE (12) hasn’t been able to get into the race at his last two starts but this looks a more suitable assignment and he can overcome the backline draw. MORE SASS (4) has three roughies drawn to her inside so she is likely to find the front and give a great sight. MASTER REMI (5) is racing well enough to figure in the finish with the right run. OUR MAJOR JACK (10) hit the line nicely last start and can be in the money at good odds. Tips: 12 4 5 10 Suggested Bet: MALAKIE (12) to win. Quaddies Early: 1 2 4 9 / 1 2 3 8 / 1 3 6 7 / 1 6 8 Late: 1 5 6 7 8 9 / 4 8 9 / 2 7 8 / 6 9 10 Market Market
