Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 12, 2025June 12, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 LOUIE DIOR (11) finished at the rear at his last three starts before going for a spell but that was in top 4YO company. He resumes here without a trial but has a nice trailing draw and will be hard to hold out if he is close to his best. BLAZE ON (6) raced well last time in and his recent dominant Pinjarra trial win indicates that he is in for a good campaign. LORD TITANIUM (5) is in form and he could enjoy a nice run just behind the speed. VELOCIPEDE (2) goes up in class but he led and ran 2nd in 1.55.7 here last week and a repeat performance will see him in the finish again. Tips: 11 6 5 2 Suggested Bet: LOUIE DIOR (11) to win. Race 2 STARLIGHT DREAM (9) has won 10 of her 20 race starts and she resumes here without a trial. She will settle at the tail and come with a late run and will be charging home at each way odds if there is a solid tempo. ACUSHLA MAREEE (6) drops in class on her solid 5th from the breeze here last week and will make her presence felt. XCITE ME (4) has led throughout to win her three starts since crossing the Nullarbor and she will be hard to catch if she finds the front again. ALEXANDRA THEGREAT (3) is in top form on country tracks and can give a sight with her barrier advantage. Tips: 9 6 4 3 Suggested Bet: STARLIGHT DREAM (9) each way. Race 3 One of the most open races we’ve seen at GP and only CLASSIC CHOICE (4) would shock. PETES HONOUR (9) is the class runner of the field but he won’t find it easy from out here. MY SILVER SPOON (8) was held up at a crucial stage last week and his previous form was very good but is also drawn poorly. DARK EYES (6) was unlucky at Pinjarra and could end up in a handy spot. MINOR CATASTROPHE (1) will sit behind the speed and won’t be far away. Tips: 9 8 6 1 Suggested Bet: PETES HONOUR (9) to win. Race 4 QUINTON (10) followed back-to-back victories with a solid 3rd here last week and should enjoy a lovely run on the leaders’ back here and looks a good each way chance. ROLLING FIRE (9) looked back to his best when a good 2nd here in quick time last week and should be back in the winners’ circle soon. SOHO MOONRAKER (1) caught the eye when 3rd here last week and is a good frontrunner so he should lead this for a long way. TUALOU (12) has disappointed in both starts this time in but they found a problem after his last run and he could be a big improver. Tips: 10 9 1 12 Suggested Bet: QUINTON (10) each way. Race 5 AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (1) was a good winner from a wide barrier before leading throughout from this draw last week and will be at short odds to bring up the hat-trick. LITTLE DARLING (2) has beaten home the favourite the last two times they have met but has had nine weeks between runs and is likely to be driven with a sit tonight. LUSAKA (4) couldn’t make up ground when 8th to AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (1) last week but is drawn to be prominent throughout tonight. LONGREACH BAY (3) has sizzling gate speed and will give a sight if he can cross at the start. Tips: 1 2 4 3 Suggested Bet: AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (1) to win. Race 6 FEELING ACES (4) hit the line nicely when 4th here last week and will be charging home again if he enjoys the right run in transit. ELWADDELL (8) was well backed when recording an impressive win at his last start and has the strength to overcome the wide draw. VALHALLA MISS (3) hasn’t had much luck since recording an all-the-way win four starts back and she will give a great sight if he she can find the front. EN PARIANT SUR (7) knocked up after working to find the front here last week but must be considered on his previous efforts. Tips: 4 8 3 7 Suggested Bet: FEELING ACES (4) each way. Race 7 SHES A TINY DANCER (6) has had no luck at her last two starts but can be driven more aggressively in this class and looks a major player. LADY CAMEL (7) showed ability last time in and is first-up for Team Bond so monitor the betting. SKIP A BEAT (5) won his only two starts in his first campaign and was a big drifter first-up when 3rd to Her Presence and is likely to start favourite here. THE SWINDLER (2) took no part after copping a check at his last start but his first-up 2nd to Flying Felix had merit and he should be thereabouts from his nice draw. Tips: 6 7 5 2 Suggested Bet: SHES A TINY DANCER (6) to win. Race 8 BLOCKJORG (1) has only won one of her past 18 starts but her recent form is solid and she should lead and prove hard to catch over the sprint trip. BLUE BLAZER (3) ran a nice 2nd here on Tuesday and will be right in the finish if he handles the quick back-up. MANEA (2) should enjoy a nice run just behind the speed and did win in that scenario three starts back. SIDSTREPO (7) is the knockout hope if there is a solid tempo up front. Tips: 1 3 2 7 Suggested Bet: BLOCKJORG (1) to win. Race 9 PATCHED (9) has performed well off big handicaps at his last two starts and will be hard to beat from the mobile tonight but does run into two smart younger trotters. MAJESTIC GA GA (8) has beaten PATCHED (9) in their last two meetings and will fight out the finish here if she does everything right. YANKEE LOVER (5) ran 2nd to MAJESTIC GA GA (8) before recording an effortless win in weaker company and looks set for a profitable campaign. THATS NOT MY GAIT (1) has disappointed in her last three starts but could improve sharply from the pole. Tips: 9 8 5 1 Suggested Bet: PATCHED (9) to win. Race 10 EL MYSTRO (2) was ultra-impressive in facing the breeze and winning on debut in 1.55.8 and appeals as the one to beat after drawing inside his main rivals. MAJESTIC LOMBO (3) and HE IS TALKING (4) fought out the finish when they debuted in the same event and HE IS TALKING (4) has franked that form with a solid victory at his second race start. Stablemates BUTTER ME UP (5) and CEASE TO REACT (6) both have plenty of ability and whoever gets the cart into the race from the other can be placed. Tips: 2 3 4 5 Suggested Bet: EL MYSTRO (2) to win. Market Market
