Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 29, 2025May 29, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 HEARTOFAHLIA (4) raced consistently last time in and a recent 3rd in a Pinjarra trial indicates that he should give a great sight first-up. THE SWINDLER (2) loomed up as a winning chance first-up but peaked on his run when 2nd to Flying Felix but will strip fitter and is well drawn tonight. SHES A TINY DANCER (6) has finished 2nd at her two WA starts and should be in the finish again. DRIVE LINE (5) was a solid 2nd at his first start after a short break and can make his presence felt. Tips: 4 2 6 5 Suggested Bet: HEARTOFAHLIA (4) to win. Race 2 SUGAR STREET (1) has a losing sequence of 20 and was beaten 55m here last week but this looks a suitable assignment. QUINTON (7) was a good winner in a stronger field at his last start and just needs the right trip to be in the finish. LORD TITANIUM (8) is drawn poorly but is racing well and has the strength to be put into the race if the tempo allows. SWIZZLESTICK (5) has won three on end and must be considered but this does look harder Tips: 1 7 8 5 Suggested Bet: SUGAR STREET (1) to win. Race 3 BLAMEITOTHENIGHT (4) seemed to lose form but his last two starts have been full of merit and he will be very hard to beat if he can take up the running tonight. CAMS BOULDER (5) is racing consistently and should be winning soon but has drawn outside his main rival. BACK ON LINE (1) disappointed at his last start but his previous form was very solid and he should be thereabouts from the pole. BETTOR HAVE FAITH (6) will settle in the second half the field and will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. Tips: 4 5 1 6 Suggested Bet: BLAMEITOTHENIGHT (4) to win. Race 4 GOLDEN LODE (10) is the youngest pacer in the field and is unproven at this level but he will enjoy a soft run on the pegs and he should be right in the finish if he sees daylight at the right time. SUGAR APPLE (1) led throughout from this barrier in good time at his last start and a repeat performance will see him hard to beat. ARMA XFACTOR (5) was a strong 2nd to Gee Heza Sport here last week and should be right up on the speed throughout. PRINCE OF PLEASURE (9) has the best form in the event but has a tough draw to overcome again. Tips: 10 1 5 9 Suggested Bet: GOLDEN LODE (10) each way. Race 5 LION QUEEN (8) was ultra-impressive in defeating Alta Tribute in 1.54.0 two starts ago before running a solid 6th here last week. She takes on her own sex tonight and is clearly the one to beat. AMBITSAYA (11) has trialled impressively since being beaten as a short-priced favourite and is the obvious danger. REMARKABLE ROCK (1) doesn’t have the class of the favoured pair but has the barrier advantage and can play a part. SUGAR DELIGHT (9) was a good winner here last week and has a bright future but will find it hard from her wide draw. Tips: 8 11 1 9 Suggested Bet: LION QUEEN (8) to win. Race 6 HEAVENLY GYPSY (1) crosses the Nullabor with solid form and her recent trial win indicates that she will be hard to beat from the pole at her first start in WA. CHILLI PUNTER (9) was well driven to overcome a wide draw here last week and is drawn to get a lovely run in transit. TUALOU (8) is the best horse in the event and can’t be overlooked but he disappointed first-up and will need to improve considerably to win from out here. ALL IS WELL (6) has trialled well for his return and could be the value runner. Tips: 1 2 8 6 Suggested Bet: HEAVENLY GYPSY (1) to win. Race 7 MY SILVER SPOON (8) finished his last campaign with consecutive victories and picked up where he left off with a narrow win at his first run back. He should have derived benefit from that effort and appeals as the one to beat in a race full of chances. DAWSON (11) has been consistent without winning since arriving in WA and can figure again. TWOBOB CRACKER (10) raced in stronger company last time in and trialled nicely for his return. TARTYN ROBYN (7) can figure if he begins smoothly. Tips: 8 11 10 7 Suggested Bet: MY SILVER SPOON (8) to win. Race 8 SWAGGER MAN (7) has been building up to his best form and his 2nd here last week indicated that he should be breaking back into the winners’ circle soon and this looks suitable. EN PARIANT SUR (6) was a good all-the-way winner here last week and will be hard to beat if he finds the front again. MINOR CATASTROPHE (2) was held up last week and should be thereabouts with normal racing luck. XCITE ME (1) goes up in class but looks a good frontrunner who can give cheek. Tips: 7 6 2 1 Suggested Bet: SWAGGER MAN (7) to win. Race 9 LAST HARD COPY (2) has won two of his three starts this time in with the defeat being a solid 5th to Cyclone Jordy in the Caduceus Classic. He is well drawn here and is clearly the one to beat. RUBY LOU (6) was held up here last week but has been racing consistently and will become a winning chance if the favourite doesn’t find the front. WHEN IN VEGAS (1) hasn’t been able to get in to the race in his two starts this time in but has claims from the pole. CAPTAIN SAID SO (3) has won three of his last five starts and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 2 6 1 3 Suggested Bet: LAST HARD COPY (2) to win. Race 10 VEGAS STRIP (6) locked wheels at a crucial stage at his last start and looks the one to beat here despite still not being at his top. MENEMSHA (8) was a good 3rd in a stronger field at his last and can overcome the wide draw. MY WATCHLIST (7) looked sharper when 3rd to Chase Me here last week and is on the way up. CODENAME MARCUS (4) ran a creditable 4th in the Narrogin Cup and can be in the money at good each way odds. Tips: 6 8 7 4 Suggested Bet: VEGAS STRIP (6) to win. Market Market
