The back line draw is offset by the drop in class and he appeals as the horse to beat. MISTER MACEDON (2) is racing consistently and his versatility can help him overcome the wide barrier. MASTER LEIGHTON (3) is getting back to his best form and can be in the money at good each way odds. LORD TITANIUM (6) made up ground to finish 4th to Storyteller here last week and will be suited if there is a solid tempo. Tips: 12 8 3 6 Suggested Bet: THELITTLE MASTER (12) to win. Race 2 STORYTELLER (9) had been racing in stronger company before leading throughout to record a comfortable win in solid time here last week. He goes from the inside to outside barrier tonight but is still clearly the one to beat. LONGREACH BAY (1) has become one-dimensional but he did win the last time he drew to lead and must be respected from the pole. MY ULTIMATE CHEVRON (8) is racing extremely well and will be dangerous if he can get the right cart into the race. LETS GET ROCKIN (5) has been placed in three of his last four starts and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 9 1 8 5 Suggested Bet: STORYTELLER (9) to win. Race 3 VENTURA (8) has won two of his last three starts and has the strength and versatility to overcome the wide draw but the sprint trip will make it challenging. THENU CAME ALONG (7) will settle at the rear but will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. SPYGLASS (1) creates plenty of interest at his first run in WA and has recorded a 1.53.5 Melton win over the sprint trip. ROCKANDROLLARTIST (5) is a quick beginner and would be hard to catch if he found the front but there is plenty of gate speed drawn under him. Tips: 8 7 1 5 Suggested Bet: VENTURA (8) to win. Race 4 SPICEY MAJOR (1) was a $1.22 favourite when he hit the mobile at the start point and trailed the field from that point on at his last start. He loves the sprint trip and is clearly the one to beat if he is on his best behaviour. HEEZ A VIBE (3) has won all four starts this time in and is ready for the rise in class. FRANCO ECUADOR (8) has plenty of ability but the barrier will make it tough tonight. HEAVENLY WAGE (2) doesn’t have the class of most of his rivals but is drawn to get a nice run and can be in the money. Tips: 1 3 8 2 Suggested Bet: SPICEY MAJOR (1) to win. Race 5 HOLD THAT GOLD (4) has won his last seven on end against similar line-ups and he looks likely to make it eight straight tonight. PATCHED (10) has finished 2nd to HOLD THAT GOLD (4) at his last two starts and should be in the finish again if he has any luck from his back line draw. LUVAFLAIR (8) should be ready to show her best at her third run back from a spell and should be charging home. ALDEBARAN SUNDOWN (2) was a nice 3rd to HOLD THAT GOLD (4) at his first start after a break and can play a part from this draw. Tips: 4 10 8 2 Suggested Bet: HOLD THAT GOLD (4) to win. Race 6 LAVRA JOE (8) locked wheels at a crucial stage here last week but his previous form is superior to the rivals he meets tonight and he should bounce back into the winners’ circle. HOPPYS WAY (4) led and gave plenty of cheek here in a weaker field here last week and can be placed if he crosses at the start. CHAL PATCH (5) is first-up for 11 months and hasn’t been seen in trials but he has plenty of ability so monitor the betting. FLYING RUMOUR (2) is always a place chance with the right run. Tips: 8 4 5 2 Suggested Bet: LAVRA JOE (8) to win. Race 7 MAJOR OVERS (1) doesn’t have the class of his main rivals but he looks likely to enjoy an easy time out in front and can give some cheek at each way odds. CORDERO (7) has finished just behind the placegetters in stronger fields and this looks a very suitable assignment. HIGH PRICE (9) has won two of his last three starts and will be charging home if he can get the right cart into the race. FRANKLIN DELANO (7) ran a nice 2nd from the breeze here last week and could control the tempo tonight. Tips: 1 7 9 6 Suggested Bet: MAJOR OVERS (1) each way. Race 8 MAUNGATAHI (4) has been unplaced in his three starts this time in but this looks a suitable assignment and he should prove hard to beat if he can find the front without doing too much work. SHOWPONY (8) is now with Aiden De Campo and his best would see him fight out the finish against this field. IDEAL TOMADO (9) is racing well but does a have a tough draw to overcome. SOUND WAVE (1) hasn’t had much luck this time in and can be placed from the pole. Tips: 4 8 9 1 Suggested Bet: MAUNGATAHI (4) to win. Race 9 FREYJA (4) faced the breeze and was only nabbed right on the line when 2nd to Our Lady Jen here last week and can go one better tonight. BLAZE COOPS (6) disappointed when she led and knocked up to run 5th in that event but she will strip fitter and will give a sight. PRINCESS KATIE (7) was a close-up 3rd in the same event but has a wide draw to overcome. SECRET REACTION (1) has options at the start but may elect to sit tonight and won’t be far away.
