Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 14, 2024November 14, 2024 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 NASE VIRA (3) led throughout here three starts back and has the barrier advantage over her main rivals. LION QUEEN (6) has won five of her ten career starts and defeated a similar field here two starts back in 1.54.9. She worked too hard when a beaten favourite here a fortnight ago but is drawn to be prominent throughout tonight and should give a great sight. ATLANTIC GEM (10) hasn’t had much luck recently and has an awkward draw to overcome but will be dangerous if she gets out at the right time. XCEPTIONAL ARMA (9) is flying and can’t be overlooked but the draw makes it tough. Tips: 3 6 10 9 Suggested Bet: NASE VIRA (3) to win. Race 2 VENTURA (10) couldn’t have been more impressive when breezing and winning in 1.52.8 here last week. He is drawn awkwardly tonight but will be hard to beat with normal luck in running. FRANCO ECUADOR (4) disappointed last time in but he resumed with a Lightning Lap victory and he has plenty of ability when right. TOMMY WATERHOUSE (2) has disappointed when finishing just behind the placegetters at his two starts here but he could be a sharp improver if he finds the front. TORPEDO ROCK (1) has options at the start and should be thereabouts. Tips: 10 4 2 1 Suggested Bet: VENTURA (10) to win. Race 3 HILLVIEW BONDI (1) has been unplaced at his last five starts but he is a different horse in front and he gets his chance to shoot for an all-the-way win here. STREET HAWK (9) is drawn poorly but has impressed with strong 2nds at his two starts this time and will make his presence felt. THE MIKI TAKER (5) is suited in this company and should be right in the finish. HAMPTON BANNER (10) is drawn to enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can be placed at odds. Tips: 1 9 5 10 Suggested Bet: HILLVIEW BONDI (1) each way. Race 4 PINNY TIGER (7) disappointed in the Pacing Cup when he led and over-raced and finished at the rear. This is an easier assignment over a shorter trip and he will be hard to beat if he can cross at the start. JAWSOFLINCOLN (2) has good gate speed as well and looks a major player from his nice draw. RAGAZZO MACH (1) has been off the scene for almost two years but has trialled nicely for his return and can play a part from the pole. TO FAST TO SERIOUS (4) has a sharp turn of foot and will be suited if there is a solid early tempo. Tips: 7 2 1 4 Suggested Bet: PINNY TIGER (7) to win. Race 5 OK BOOMER (2) has impressed in winning two of his last three starts and will give a great sight if he can find the front in the early stages. LOUIE DIOR (6) was unsuited by the slow pace in the early stages but still made up plenty of ground when 4th to SORRIDERE (5) in the Pinjarra Classic and will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. SORRIDERE (5) defeated a similar field in the Pinjarra Classic and has the gate speed to be prominent throughout. LUSAKA (10) was a close-up 5th in that event and can win this if he gets out early enough. Tips: 2 6 5 10 Suggested Bet: LOUIE DIOR (6) each way. Race 6 VEGAS STRIP (8) finished 2nd in the Western Gateway before leading when 5th in the WA Derby. He takes on older horses but drops in class and is the one to beat despite the wide draw. THE BEAUDSTER (9) is flying and has the strength to overcome his outside barrier. FRISKY STYX (6) led throughout here last week and will give them something to catch if he can find the front. HIGH PRIOCE (5) is racing consistently and will be suited by the likely solid tempo. Tips: 8 9 6 5 Suggested Bet: VEGAS STRIP (8) to win. Race 7 GEE HEZA SPORT (9) couldn’t have been more impressive in winning his last two starts and he looks extremely hard to beat again. BELLISIMO ACQUISTO (2) can be hit and miss at the start but looks the obvious danger if he can step to the front. NORTHVIEW DANCE (3) is a reliable stand beginner who should be prominent throughout. SOHO SANTORINI (6) drops in class on his last start and can be in the finish. Tips: 9 2 3 6 Suggested Bet: GEE HEZA SPORT (9) to win. Race 8 OUR SANDY SHORE (5) is at the peak of her game and has won four of her last five starts. She rated 1.55.6 over this trip when leading throughout at her last start and will be the one to beat if she can bully her way to the front again. SISTA SAMMY (6) has led throughout at her last two starts but is versatile and should run a great race. REBLINE (3) has been catching the eye in unsuitable assignments and is capable of winning this event with the right run. ZEPHYRA (8) will be at good odds but can cause an upset if there is a solid tempo. Tips: 5 6 3 8 Suggested Bet: OUR SANDY SHORE (5) to win. Race 9 ROCKANDROLLARTIST (1) led when nosed out as a $1.60 favourite at his last start and punters will be brave to take a similar quote again but he does look the leader and the one to beat. SPICEY MAJOR (6) crosses the Nullabor with form in better company and is a big watch in the hands of Gary Hall Jnr. ROBBIE EASTON (2) broke back into the winners’ circle against a weak field at his last start and should be thereabouts from his nice draw. BLAZE COOPS (7) drops in class but has a wide barrier to overcome. Tips: 1 6 2 7 Suggested Bet: ROCKANDROLLARTIST (1) to win. Race 10 FABULOUS DREAM (3) is undefeated in her two race starts and looks capable of matching the rise in class. MY HAMMER DOWN (2) rated 1.57.0 in winning his only start in NZ and hasn’t trialled here so monitor the betting. MAD MONDAY (5) is an improving type who has won his last two starts and Deni Roberts has chosen to drive him over the polemarker. WHEN IN VEGAS (1) has won three of his five starts and looks a major player again. Tips: 3 2 5 1 Suggested Bet: FABULOUS DREAM (3) to win. Market Market
