Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 22, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 OUR ANGEL OF HARLEM (8) had no luck in her Breeders Crown campaign but resumed from a spell with a dominant win here last week. She will be fitter for that run and is clearly the one to beat. DAVINCI DIAMOND (2) is in career best form and was an impressive all-the-way winner at Pinjarra last start. He is drawn to find the top again and will give them something to catch. SCOTLYNN BEACH (11) is racing consistently and is the clear third pick. ESTOCADA (6) is back to his best but this looks harder than his recent assignments. Tips: 8 2 11 6 Suggested Bet: OUR ANGEL OF HARLEM (8) to win. Race 2 MAXENTIUS (11) has finished runner-up at his last three starts, and all have been full of merit. He will be out of the early bustle from this draw but can then be put into the race and should give a great sight. WALKINSHAW (4) resumed with a comfortable all-the-way win in easier class and can play a part here. IM SOXY (3) defeated MAXENTIUS (11) last start and can repeat the dose with the right run in transit. HANDSANDWHEELS (9) was an impressive winner here last week but is drawn poorly tonight. Tips: 11 4 3 9 Suggested Bet: MAXENTIUS (11) to win. Race 3 KIMANI (1) has impressed at his three WA runs this time in, including a strong win over Starlight Brigade and a solid 2nd to Walkinshaw last start. He goes up in class tonight but that is offset by his perfect draw and he should give a great sight. EL JACKO (12) will appreciate the drop in class after starting favourite but failing here at his last start. ITZ BETTOR TO WIN (4) is first up from a break but has shown plenty of ability and should play a part. TISADREAM (2) has disappointed at his last two starts but looks an improver tonight. Tips: 1 12 4 2 Suggested Bet: KIMANI (1) to win. Race 4 OUR MAX PHACTOR (4) won eight on end before working hard from the back line when a 1.5m 2nd to TYLER BRETT (1). He is drawn better tonight and looks the one to beat. TYLER BRETT (1) has won three out of his last four and looks a major player from the pole. THEREUGO (3) has flown the gate to lead from wide draws at his past two starts and will give them something to catch if he crosses at the start. BENHOPE RULZ (7) is racing consistently and will be hoping for a hectic early pace to bring him into the race. Tips: 4 1 3 7 Suggested Bet: OUR MAX PHACTOR (4) to win. Race 5 EDEN FRANCO (4) is flying and did all of the work when run down by MACZAFFAIR (10) last start. She has a barrier advantage over her main rival tonight and can turn the tables. MACZAFFAIR (10) beat a stronger field in the York Cup last start but will need some luck from this draw. DODOLICIOUS (12) will be fitter for her solid first-up 3rd but has a tough draw to overcome. PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (2) is racing extremely consistently and should be thereabouts from this draw. Tips: 4 10 12 2 Suggested Bet: EDEN FRANCO (4) to win. Race 6 DEVENDRA (1) has been battling bad barriers of late but has been performing credibly, including a fast finishing 2nd to Galactic Star here last week. He will lead tonight and should prove hard to catch. VAMPIRO (9) has the best form in the event and is Inters bound but has a tough draw to overcome. ROCK DIAMONDS (10) is probably a rung below the state’s best pacers but is racing well and should enjoy a nice run in transit. ROCKNROLL LINCOLN (7) was held up when finishing less than 10m behind Vampiro and can play a part. Tips: 1 9 10 7 Suggested Bet: DEVENDRA (1) to win. Race 7 KING OF SWING (4) won two on end before being fancied in Free For All company but finishing out of the money on two occasions. He drops back to a moderate 4YO event tonight and gets his chance to break back into the winners’ circle. STEFSBEST (1) has been very impressive in defeating weaker rivals but his times suggest he will give a sight from the pole tonight. FIZZING (2) and LINCS TIGER (6) don’t have the class of the state’s best 4YO’s but can be in the money tonight with the right runs. Tips: 4 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: KING OF SWING (4) to win. Race 8 LUIS ALBERTO (5) took his losing sequence to 11 when a fair 5th to Soho Wonder here last week. This is a moderate affair and he looks a major player. LOT TWENTY ONE (8) was a good winner here four starts back and his subsequent runs have been sound. He is drawn wide but has the turn of foot to make him dangerous late. TUAS DELIGHT (4) has finished just behind the placegetters at his past two starts and will appreciate the drop in class tonight. NORTHERN EMPEROR (2) is racing consistently and can play a part from this draw. Tips: 5 8 4 2 Suggested Bet: LUIS ALBERTO (5) to win. Race 9 BLETCHLEY PARK (6) was a narrow 2nd to Franco Edward in the Golden Slipper at his last start before a spell. He resumes here without a trial but is a classy customer and will be finishing hard. SHOCKWAVE (3) was only beaten 4.6m in the same race and has the advantage of having one start back from a break when a solid 2nd at Pinjarra on Monday. THEO AVIATOR (2) defeated Franco Edward in a recent Byford trial so must be respected from this draw. GEE JAY KAY (4) was also an impressive trial winner and can play a part. Tips: 6 3 2 4 Suggested Bet: BLETCHLEY PARK (6) to win. Race 10 SUNOFLINDENNY (7) resumed from a spell with a dominant win over LIGHTNING CLADER (10). He meets that pacer with the same handicap advantage and is the one to beat. ROCKNROLL BABY (1) is first up for the Hall camp and must be respected on his Eastern states form. LIGHTNING CALDER (10) has six wins and two places from his nine starts this season and will be thereabouts again. BALMORAL BOY (5) is better suited by a mobile start but is racing well. Tips: 7 1 10 5 Suggested Bet: SUNOFLINDENNY (7) to win. Market Market
