Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 11, 2018October 12, 2018 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 BHAGWAN (1) excels in front and led throughout to win in 1.55.3 here two starts back before finishing down the track behind Mitch Maguire. He is better suited at the sprint distance but will still give a great sight. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (2) was outsprinted on Monday in a quick last half but will be thereabouts throughout here. HASTALAVISTA (8) has been ultra-impressive in racing his way through the classes but is drawn wide tonight. DESTINED TO RULE (4) suffered a flat tyre last week and can improve. Tips: 1 2 8 4 Suggested Bet: BHAGWAN (1) to win. Race 2 EDEN FRANCO (2) was in excellent form before a break, including a 1.54.1 all-the-way win over this distance at her last start. She warmed up for this with a 10m 2nd to Jack Mac in a recent trial and should give a great sight from this draw. MITCH MAGUIRE (4) has won five of his six starts this campaign and his blistering turn of foot makes him the obvious danger. OVERBOARD AGAIN (6) was an impressive winner last week but will find it harder from out here. COURAGE TELLS (1) is drawn to get a perfect run and can be placed. Tips: 2 4 6 1 Suggested Bet: EDEN FRANCO (2) to win. Race 3 KING OF SWING (3) has won five of his six starts this campaign, with the defeat being a nose 2nd to Motu Premier in FFA company. He should work his way to the front and prove too good for his opposition. EXTREME PRINCE (1) doesn’t have the class of most of his rivals but has shown that he can follow pace and battle on into the money. DANIELJOHN (10) should enjoy a nice run on the pegs and can be placed. MISTER ROLLINS (2) put up a career best performance when 2nd last week and shouldn’t be far away from this draw. Tips: 3 1 10 2 Suggested Bet: KING OF SWING (3) to win. Race 4 THE ART FORM (8) has resumed from a break in great fashion, winning his last five on end. This is his biggest test to date and he has an outside barrier but his class will ensure that he is right in the finish. BETTOR FINISH (1) hasn’t been winning but faced the breeze and was placed behind THE ART FORM (8) recently and must be considered from the pole. LINCS TIGER (4) disappointed last start but his previous form was good enough to be a serious threat. THEREUGO (7) is working up to his best and would give cheek if he crossed. Tips: 8 1 4 7 Suggested Bet: BETTOR FINISH (1) each way. Race 5 BETTER B CHEVRON (10) has worked hard to find the front and disappointed at her last two starts but is drawn to get a perfect trail here and should represent each way value. MISTER VERSACE (1) led throughout from this draw recently and should give a great sight again. ROCKNROLL LINCOLN (9) was ultra-impressive in beating Speed Man at his first run back from a spell but has a wide draw to overcome. SOKYS BIGBULLET (2) is racing gamely but is likely to be in the breeze again. Tips: 10 1 9 2 Suggested Bet: BETTER B CHEVRON (10) each way. Race 6 TANAKA EAGLE (1) has only been placed once in his past 17 starts but gets his chance tonight. He is a lot better suited in front and gets his chance to take up that role tonight against a moderate line-up. SUNROSE VILLAGE (2) is racing extremely well and looks a major player from this draw. C C CHEVRON (7) was placed in a stand here on Friday and will be running on. EL MACHINE (9) is the class runner of the field and is always dangerous if he can get the right cart into the race. Tips: 1 2 7 9 Suggested Bet: TANAKA EAGLE (1) to win. Race 7 DONTSTOPBELIEVIN (4) has won five of her past eight starts, with one of the defeats being a game 2nd to King Of Swing. She is awkwardly drawn here but has the strength to be put into the race and will give a great sight. PICK MY POCKET (2) is first-up after a break but will be right in this if anywhere near her top. SHE COULD BE GOOD (1) is also first-up and has shown her best form when leading, including an all-the-way win here in slick time. FIRSTJOY (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can improve. Tips: 4 2 1 10 Suggested Bet: DONTSTOPBELIEVIN (4) to win. Race 8 OUR MAX PHACTOR (5) has been ultra-impressive in winning at all four of his WA starts, including a strong victory over Tommy Be Good here last start. This doesn’t look any harder and he can notch up his 5th win on the trot. ACE BROMAC (9) is the other class runner who did things wrong last week and is drawn poorly tonight. KAPTAIN KENNY (3) is racing consistently and shouldn’t be far away from this barrier. IDEAL FLIPFLOP (4) needs the breaks to go his way but can be placed with the right trip. Tips: 5 9 3 4 Suggested Bet: OUR MAX PHACTOR (5) to win. Race 9 ATTACK ON COMMAND (5) was a solid 5th here three starts back and hasn’t been able to get into the race at his past two runs. This is an extremely moderate affair and he can push forward and prove hard to beat. QTOWN RIP ROARING (1) is racing well below his best but could be a big improver from the pole. KISSMECOUGAR (7) was held up last start and will be running on tonight. DAME PUISSANT (8) isn’t racing at her top but this represents a drop in class and a win wouldn’t surprise. Tips: 5 1 7 8 Suggested Bet: ATTACK ON COMMAND (5) each way. Race 10 YOU GOTTA HAVE FAITH (4) ran on strongly to defeat Amelias Courage two starts back and then wasn’t far away behind Ideal One. This looks easier than both of those assignments and he appeals with Gary Hall Jnr in the cart. ATHABASCAN (5) displayed ability last time in and a recent trial indicates he should win one in town this campaign. KID COLOSSUS (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can improve. THE REDEEMER (9) is racing consistently but had his chance on Monday and is drawn poorly here. Tips: 4 5 10 9 Suggested Bet: YOU GOTTA HAVE FAITH (4) to win. Market Market
