He did lead from this draw earlier this campaign and appeals as the one to beat. CAVEMAN (3) is racing extremely consistently and looks the main danger from his nice draw. ALTA INTRIGUE (2) ran an improved 4th at his last start and should be approaching peak fitness at his 5th run back from a long break. MASTER LEIGHTON (10) is drawn to get a lovely trip and looks a good place chance. Tips: 1 3 2 10 Suggested Bet: LOUIE THE HORSE (1) to win. Race 2 RAKASINC (5) put up a herculean effort when he faced the breeze and ran a close 2nd in 1.54.5 here last week. He looks likely to end up in the breeze again and will be hard to beat. BLUE BLAZER (2) enjoyed a nice trip when a solid 1.56.9 winner and could be the danger with the right run. AL GUERERRO (9) is the other class runner and will be hard to catch if he crosses at the start. MAJOR STARE (11) has been placed in six of his last seven starts and can be in the money again. Tips: 5 2 9 11 Suggested Bet: RAKASINC (5) to win. Race 3 BORN TO BOOGIE (1) has made a big impression in winning her two WA starts including a 1.55.9 all-the-way win here last week. She goes up significantly in class but will be hard to beat if she reproduces last week’s effort. MIGHTY RONALDO (10) won the WA Derby three starts back and his two subsequent runs have been full of merit and is the obvious danger. PARMESAN (3) led throughout to defeat a strong field at his last start but isn’t as well drawn tonight. SHANWAY (9) is flying but has a horror draw to overcome. Tips: 1 10 3 9 Suggested Bet: BORN TO BOOGIE (1) to win. Race 4 TO FAST TO SERIOUS (5) bounced to the front when recording an effortless 1.55.1 victory here last week and will give them something to catch if he can take up the running again. LAVRA JOE (7) has won seven of his last eight stars and indicated his fitness with a recent 1.53.9 Bunbury trial victory and is clearly the one to beat. TYLER BRETT (1) ran a nice 4th at his return and could be the value runner from the pole. BOOM TIME (6) is racing well but the draw makes it tough in this company. Tips: 5 7 1 6 Suggested Bet: TYLER BRETT (1) each way. Race 5 CHICAGO BULL (9) hasn’t been at his best in three runs back from a spell but his last start had merit and he should strop fitter tonight. He is drawn poorly here but will be very backable and can bounce back. BALCATHERINE (3) has been placed in two of her three runs back from a spell and is drawn to be a major player. PATRONUS STAR (4) faces his biggest test but has plenty of ability and must be respected. IDEAL LINER (1) led and was narrowly beaten by a similar field two starts back and should be in the finish. Tips: 9 3 4 1 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (9) to win. Race 6 WHATARETHEODDS (7) was the quickest heat winner when leading throughout in 1.57.3. He is drawn poorly but has plenty of ability and looks good each way value. THE MIKI TAKER (4) defeated WHATARETHEODDS (7) before being beaten into 2nd in his heat and looks a major player. WHOS THE DAD (2) led throughout to win his heat and looks the likely leader again. ROCK ON TOP (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be dangerous if there is a solid tempo up front. Tips: 7 4 2 10 Suggested Bet: WHATARETHEODDS (7) each way. Race 7 ADDA TARANTELLA (2) attempted to lead throughout when a brave 2nd to Sheez Our Hope here last week and can go one better if she gets an easier time out in front. SMOOTH RYE (3) won four on end before a solid 3rd at her last start and should be thereabouts. BENESARI LANE (5) disappointed at her last start but must be considered on her previous effort when she won the WA Oaks. BETTOR PACK IT (1) should enjoy a soft run on the pegs and looks a good place chance. Tips: 2 3 5 1 Suggested Bet: ADDA TARANTELLA (2) to win. Race 8 SON OF A WHIZ (1) led throughout at his first run back from a spell and is drawn to lead and give a great sight again. PRINCESS MILA (8) was unlucky first-up before disappointing at her next start but is a classy type who must be respected. ALWAYS A DREAMER (6) will strip fitter for her first run back from a break and should be prominent. CHAMPAGNE PRINCE (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and looks a great place chance. Tips: 1 8 6 10 Suggested Bet: SON OF A WHIZ (1) to win. Race 9 NOTA BENE DENARIO (5) has been placed in eight of his nine starts since coming to WA and was a strong 2nd to Jaspervellabeach here last week. This looks an easier assignment and he is the one to beat. SMART FORTUNE (3) led when a close-up 3rd in that event and will give them something to catch if he finds the top again. JESSE ALWOOD (1) has finished just behind the placegetters at his two runs back from a break and won’t be far away. REBEL WITH A GRIN (11) was a nice 2nd here last week but starts from the back line tonight. Tips: 5 3 1 11 Suggested Bet: NOTA BENE DENARIO (5) to win. Race 10 POWERPLAY (6) dashed to the front from a similar draw when finishing 3rd to Talks Up A Storm at his last start and a similar performance will see him go close here. ARMA EINSTEIN (7) wasn’t far away when 4th to Finvarra in 1.53.7 at his last start and should fight out the finish. CHANCE ECLIPSE (1) has improved considerably of late and is the best drawn of the main chances. PADDITUDE (5) led throughout in 1.56.5 two starts back and must be respected on that performance. Tips: 6 7 1 5 Suggested Bet: CHANCE ECLIPSE (1) each way. Race 11 BLACK JACK BABY (1) trialled nicely for her return and should lead and win against this line-up. OUR STAR BILLING (2) has improved of late and should track the favourite and be hard to beat for the quinella position.
