Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on February 11, 2021February 11, 2021 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 BETTOR BE OSCAR (1) has been placed at his last four starts and gets his chance to break back into the winners’ circle. He looks the leader tonight and should prove hard to catch. SWEET MADDISON (2) is a talented mare who has won nine of her 20 race starts and should play a part from her nice draw. ROBBIE EASTON (7) disappointed last time in but has had a good break and must be respected first-up. ROCK ME OVER (5) was an upset winner at his last start and is always a chance with the right run in this company. Tips: 1 2 7 4 Suggested Bet: BETTOR BE OSCAR (1) to win. Race 2 THATS PERFECT (1) was a brilliant 1.52.1 heat winner of the Nights Of Thunder before disappointing in the final after facing the breeze. He has had three weeks since that run and looks extremely hard to beat from the pole. PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (8) is the other class runner of this field and is capable of overcoming his wide draw. MIRACLE MOOSE (9) was an impressive last-start winner but will need a solid tempo to be a winning chance. POWERPLAY (11) has really good 3YO form and is ready to take on the older horses. Tips: 1 8 9 11 Suggested Bet: THATS PERFECT (1) to win. Race 3 BETTOR FINISH (1) did things wrong at his last start but has since trialled well and will be extremely hard to beat if he can hold up at the start. ANTERO (4) has won two of his last three starts and is the obvious danger. BABYFACE ADDA (12) defeated a stronger field at his last start and comes into a nice trailing draw after the scratching. BETTOR COPAGOODONE (10) is better known as a stand horse but she will enjoy a soft run on the pegs and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 1 4 12 10 Suggested Bet: BETTOR FINISH (1) to win. Race 4 WILDWEST (6) has won nine of his 13 career starts and warmed up for this with a recent Byford trial. He has undoubted ability and is the one to beat but his tractability is still a concern. SIMBA BROMAC (1) ran on well to finish a solid 2nd here last week and should enjoy a nice run from the pole. THE BIRD DANCE (2) is first-up without a trial but is likely to enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can be thereabouts. TALKTOMEURMATTJESTY (5) disappointed last week but will give some cheek if he doesn’t have to run a fast lead time. Tips: 6 1 2 5 Suggested Bet: WILDWEST (6) to win. Race 5 MAGNIFICENT STORM (9) has taken everything before him winning all 12 of his WA starts. He was a dominant 1.53.0 winner of the 4YO Classic after finding the front and he is still clearly the one to beat despite the draw. PATRONUS STAR (6) ran into trouble in the two 4YO Classics but is the reigning WA Derby winner and must be respected. HOWARD HUGHES (4) hasn’t had much luck of late but is capable of causing an upset with the right run. MINSTREL (8) was a brave 2nd at his last start but the draw has cruelled his chances. Tips: 9 6 4 8 Suggested Bet: MAGNIFICENT STORM (9) to win. Race 6 PAPINIK (1) has won eight of his ten career starts and resumed with an impressive Pinjarra victory. He gets the pole draw tonight and looks extremely hard to beat. ROLL WITH ME (4) is racing consistently and will appreciate the drop in class tonight. LITTLE BIT OF FUN (3) has gate speed and is a promising 4YO who can figure in a race of this nature. TRADIE (10) doesn’t have the class of his main rivals but is drawn to get a lovely run and can be placed. Tips: 1 4 3 10 Suggested Bet: PAPINIK (1) to win. Race 7 MISS LIMELIGHT (1) has won eight of 13 career starts and will appreciate the pole draw after battling bad barriers recently. She looks the leader tonight and should prove hard to catch. WEEWAH (10) was a strong winner in weaker company at her last start and can be dangerous at each way odds from this draw. SAVVY BROMAC (4) wasn’t suited facing the breeze at her last start but will be charging home if she gets the right trip in transit. INTHESKYROCKET (7) is a capable mare and will be suited by the likely solid tempo. Tips: 1 10 4 7 Suggested Bet: MIRACLE MOOSE (8) to win. Race 8 DIVINIA BELLEZZA (9) has hit peak form with victories at her last two starts. She isn’t the most reliable beginner from the tapes but will be charging home if she steps away with the field. BETTORSTARTDREAMING (6) was a gallant 2nd in 1.52.1 two starts back and will run a big race if he can transfer his mobile form to the stand. KIWI BLOKE (8) was a good all-the-way winner last start and is some chance of finding the top tonight. MAJOR ARTIST (1) is a consistent standing start performer who should be thereabouts from the pole. Tips: 9 6 8 1 Suggested Bet: DIVINIA BELLEZZA (9) to win. Race 9 CARRERA MACH (2) followed a 1.54.9 victory here with a narrow 2nd in 1.55.3 behind OUR RHYTHM N BLUES (7) here last week after leading. He should find the top again and will give a great sight. DIEGO (4) faced the breeze when a strong 3rd in that event and looks the obvious danger. ROMAN ART (6) defeated Gran Chico at his last start before a break and must be considered first-up. THE KRAKEN (5) disappointed last start but is capable of bouncing back. Tips: 2 4 6 5 Suggested Bet: CARRERA MACH (2) to win. Race 10 BLACK JACK BABY (8) was back to her best when she sprinted brilliantly to defeat ROYAL ESSENCE (5) in a slick last half. She is suited by the small field and will be hard to hold out. ALWAYS AN ANGEL (7) won five of her six starts in her first campaign and will be a major player if anywhere near her best at her first run back from a spell. NEWSY (4) impressed in winning three of her four starts in her first campaign and looks the other winning chance. JOELENE (1) ran a solid 2nd here last week and can be placed from the pole. Tips: 8 5 7 1 Suggested Bet: BLACK JACK BABY (8) to win. Market Market
