Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on January 14, 2021January 22, 2021 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 MASTER PUBLISHER (2) disappointed in his only two runs last time in but was sent for a spell and resumes here in a very suitable assignment from a nice draw. ROLL WITH ME (11) was a brave 3rd after facing the breeze here last week and should get a nice run from his trailing draw. POCKET THE CASH (8) has been placed in 14 of his past 17 starts and must be considered on his narrow 2nd to Antero from a similar draw last week. PARMESAN (7) has won 14 of his 23 career starts and looks the other winning chance. Tips: 2 11 8 7 Suggested Bet: MASTER PUBLISHER (2) to win. Race 2 TOUCH OF SUCCESS (9) has been placed in two of his last three starts and that can’t be said about any of his rivals. He is capable of crossing at the start if required and looks a good chance in a wide-open affair. MAJOR STARE (8) has the most ability in this field but has only had one start in the past 26 months so must be taken on trust. MARQUISARD (10) hasn’t had much luck of late and can be dangerous if he sees daylight at the right time. BROOKIES JET (2) last win was an all-the-way effort and can improve from this draw. Tips: 9 8 10 2 Suggested Bet: TOUCH OF SUCCESS (9) to win. Race 3 ROCK ME OVER (4) was beaten as a $1.50 favourite here last week when he couldn’t hold out Blue Blazer in a quick last 800m. He is drawn inside his main rivals tonight and is worth another chance at the better price. BETTOR BE OSCAR (10) was a strong 2nd here last week and could be the value runner if he gets off the pegs at the right time. MIRACLE MOOSE (9) was a solid 5th at his first run back from a spell and has the ability to overcome this barrier. CARERRA MACH (11) had his chance when 2nd here last week but must be considered. Tips: 4 10 9 11 Suggested: BETTOR BE OSCAR (10) each way. Race 4 CHICAGO BULL (9) is the state’s best pacer resuming after a shock defeat in the WA Pacing Cup. He has a wide barrier over the middle distance but his main rivals have also drawn poorly and he is clearly the one to beat. BLETCHLEY PARK (8) was a brilliant 1.52.4 all-the-way winner here last week and could be the main danger but isn’t as likely to find the top tonight. SIMBA BROMAC (2) ran on well to finish 4th here last week and looks a good place chance. TALKTOMEURMATTJESTY (11) isn’t suited by the backline draw tonight. Tips: 9 8 2 11 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (9) to win. Race 5 MAGNIFICENT STORM (6) has taken everything before him, winning all 10 starts since coming to WA. He was awesome in winning in 1.54.0 after breezing last start and is clearly the one to beat. PATRONUS STAR (3) has nine wins and two 2nds from his 11 WA starts and is drawn to run a huge race. HOWARD HUGHES (10) enjoyed a soft trip before sprinting home well to beat a strong field at Pinjarra and can be dangerous late. POWER AND GRACE (1) is drawn to follow the major players and looks a place chance. Tips: 6 3 10 1 Suggested Bet: MAGNIFICENT STORM (6) to win. Race 6 BETTOR COPAGOODONE (1) is in peak form after winning her last two starts at Albany and Pinjarra. She goes up considerably in class tonight but is normally a reliable beginner and should give them something to catch at each-way odds. JUST WING IT (2) disappointed at his last two starts before a spell but will be a major player if he can reproduce his previous form. TRIROYALE BRIGADE (6) is a consistent stand performer and should be thereabouts. GRAN CHICO (11) is a classy type but has a 30m handicap to overcome. Tips: 1 2 6 11 Suggested Bet: BETTOR COPAGOODONE (1) each way. Race 7 KILOWATT KID (1) has been slowly building up to his best form and gets his chance from the pole tonight over the sprint trip. The gatespeed of DOMINATE THE DOJO (4) is a concern but he is the horse to beat if he can hold up at the start. THE KRAKEN (7) has won his last two starts in impressive fashion and can overcome the wide draw. THE WHITE RABBIT (2) is yet to win at five starts on this track but has plenty of ability and can play a part. DOMINATE THE DOJO (4) will give them something to catch if he crosses at the start. Tips: 1 7 2 4 Suggested Bet: KILOWATT KID (1) to win. Race 8 INFATUATION (5) is a talented 5YO who has won 10 of his 19 race starts. He warmed up for this assignment with a recent Byford trial win and should prove hard to beat. IM ROCKNROLL MAGIC (1) was a strong 3rd here last week and looks a major player from the pole tonight. TELLMETOATTACK (2) defeated the polemarker at his last start and is suited by the sprint trip. BETTOR AIM (7) hasn’t been seen for nearly two years and is likely to need the run but does have plenty of ability. Tips: 5 1 2 7 Suggested Bet: INFATUATION (5) to win. Race 9 THAT’S PERFECT (6) was a dominant winner here two starts back before running a great 5th in 1.52.4 last week. He looks the class runner of the field and can overcome an awkward draw. BETTORSTARTDREAMING (3) is now with Ross Olivieri and could be a big improver if he finds the front. BETTOR BE LIVELY (1) was crossed from this barrier recently but is racing well enough to be a major player. ONE FOR DAVE ANDME (2) wasn’t suited in the breeze here last week but could be a blowout chance with a soft trip. Tips: 6 3 1 2 Suggested Bet: THAT’S PERFECT (6) to win. Race 10 JACK WILLIAM (1) did enough to lead throughout here last week when beating Bettor Be Oscar. There are some very quick beginners in this event but he will be the one to beat if he can hold up at the start. WALTZINGWITHSIERRA (5) was well-driven to beat a quality field of mares in quick time last week and can take it right up to the boys tonight. TAROONA BROMAC (4) flies the gate and will be hard to catch if he crosses at the start. MISTER ARDEE (6) is suited by the small field and will be charging home again. Tips: 1 5 4 6 Suggested Bet: JACK WILLIAM (1) to win. Market Market
