Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on December 10, 2020December 10, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 BETTORGRINANBARIT (1) is racing extremely well in stands, winning two of his last three starts. He led throughout here last week and should be right in the finish from the pole tonight. RADIANT AMBER (3) used her good gate speed when 3rd to To Fast To Serious three starts back and will give them something to catch if she crosses at the start. MANDY JOAN (6) and QUEEN SHENANDOAH (7) finished near the rear in the Mares Classic but will appreciate the drop in class. Tips: 1 3 6 7 Suggested Bet: BETTORGRINANBARIT (1) each way. Race 2 SIGHTSEEING ANVIL (1) has been unplaced at his past nine starts but looks a big improver from the pole. He is a very good frontrunner who hasn’t had that opportunity of late and looks the one to beat tonight. BAYLAN JETT (4) ran a nice 6th at his first start after a short break and looks better suited from this draw. CARRERA MACH (8) is first-up tonight and warmed for this with a solid Pinjarra trial win but has a wide barrier to overcome. AMERICAN DELIGHT (3) has struggled at her last few starts but is capable of better. Tips: 1 4 8 3 Suggested Bet: SIGHTSEEING ANVIL (1) to win. Race 3 ROCK ME OVER (1) has been racing in stronger company from awkward draws and gets his chance tonight. He looks the likely leader and should prove hard to catch. CANT REFUSE (10) trailed the leader when a neck 2nd to Thereugo last week and should enjoy a similar trip here. ROSIES IDEAL (2) faced the breeze when a solid 5th in that event and is drawn to be prominent tonight. THAT’S PERFECT (9) produced a great 2nd at his first run in the state but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 1 10 2 9 Suggested Bet: ROCK ME OVER (1) to win. Race 4 PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (3) led throughout here in slick time five starts back and hasn’t performed at that level when unable to find the front. He looks the likely leader tonight and will be very hard to beat in that role. JIMMY MACK (2) is drawn to get a nice run on the pegs and should be right in the finish. SIR GALAHAD (6) was a solid 6th after facing the breeze at his first start back from a break and can play a part. CYCLONE BANNER (4) ran an improved 4th at his last start and looks to be ready to show his best. Tips: 3 2 6 4 Suggested Bet: PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (3) to win. Race 5 MIGHTY CONQUEROR (2) surrendered the lead before running a nice 3rd in the WA Pacing Cup here last week. He is unlikely to relinquish the front tonight and looks the one to beat. BALCATHERINE (5) makes her debut in this company but her times indicate she will be a major player. TO FAST TO SERIOUS (6) peaked on his run in the Cup but looks better suited by the shorter distance tonight. VULTAN TIN (8) outstayed his rivals to win the WA Pacing Cup last week but isn’t as well drawn over the shorter trip here. Tips: 2 5 6 8 Suggested Bet: BALCATHERINE (5) each way. Race 6 AMERICAN BRAVE (11) will be testing punter’s patience after being beaten as a short-priced favourite at his last two starts. He clearly has the most ability in this field but has to be taken on trust. SANGUE REALE (10) is the other class runner who is working back to his best form but has a tricky draw to overcome. ONE FOR DAVE ANDME (4) has finished towards the rear at all four starts this time in but should be ready to fire. MISTER ARDEE (1) will be crossed at the start but will be finishing hard if he has luck in the last lap. Tips: 11 10 4 1 Suggested Bet: ONE FOR DAVE ANDME (4) each way. Race 7 MAGNIFICENT STORM (4) has impressed in winning all eight starts in WA, the latest a 1.53.2 victory after facing the breeze at Pinjarra. This is the strongest field he has met but he looks to have their measure. POWER AND GRACE (3) led and ran home in 55.6 here at his last start and could make things interesting if he finds the top. GARDYS LEGACY (9) has a wonderful turn of foot but will need a strong early tempo to defeat the better drawn runners. TYPHOON BANNER (7) produced an all-the-way win last start but draws poorly here. Tips: 4 3 9 7 Suggested Bet: MAGNIFICENT STORM (4) to win. Race 8 HENWOOD BAY (6) has faced the breeze and been placed in his last three starts. He is likely to take up that position again and should be right in the finish. DOMINATE THE DOJO (1) has been unplaced at his four starts this time in but gets the draw to lead early and has options from that point. EXTRADITE (5) was a good last start winner at this track and would be hard to beat if he found the top. MACHS GOLD (8) raced in better company last time in and warmed up for this with a nice Byford trial victory. Tips: 6 1 5 8 Suggested Bet: HENWOOD BAY (6) to win. Race 9 PRINCESS MILA (9) bounced back to her best with a dominant win here last week. She has to overcome the backmark tonight but is clearly the one to beat. SUNNYS LITTLE JESTIC (2) has been racing against considerably stronger company in Victoria and must be respected at his first run in WA. DARK SECRET (8) ran 3rd to PRINCESS MILA (9) here last week and can thereabouts again if he does things right. CHAMPAGNE PRINCE (6) did defeat the favourite three starts back but his last effort was below par. Tips: 9 2 8 6 Suggested Bet: PRINCESS MILA (9) to win. Race 10 AMERICAN ARMA (4) has won three of her four starts, with the defeat coming at the hands of the talented Sugar Street. She has an advantage in race-fitness over her main rival and looks the one to beat. RUMOUR HAS IT (3) displayed plenty of ability in her first campaign, including a victory over Black Jack Zac and is the obvious danger. MINOR CATASTROPHE (1) won two of her four starts in her first campaign and looks a major player from the pole. BURGHLEY SHARD (6) is awkwardly drawn but has ability. Tips: 4 3 1 6 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN ARMA (4) to win. Market Market
