Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 5, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 OUR ALFIE ROMEO (4) did hold the mantle of the state’s best mare but has lost that in her last three starts where she has finished close to the rear. This looks an easier assignment and she should give a better sight tonight. GOTTA GO GABBANA (7) trialled brilliantly for her return and has the strength to race in the breeze and be right there at the finish if needed. SOMEBEACHPARTY (1) has won three of her last four starts and the rise in class is offset by the pole draw. MANDY JOAN (3) disappointed first-up but can be placed from this draw. Tips: 4 7 1 3 Suggested Bet: OUR ALFIE ROMEO (4) to win. Race 2 WAINUI CREEK (7) ran a close 2nd to Millwood Molly before struggling after facing the breeze in quick time at her last start. She hasn’t lived up to her NZ form yet but is too good to overlook. MISTER BUSHIDO (3) has been placed in three of his past four starts and will be very hard to beat if he can find the top tonight. DESTINED TO RULE (1) is always dangerous with the right run and must be considered from the pole. JOE WITH THE FLOW (4) won two of his last three starts before a spell and warmed up with a nice Pinjarra trial win. Tips: 7 3 1 4 Suggested Bet: DESTINED TO RULE (1) each way. Race 3 ARMA IMDIE (10) got away with plenty but did impress with a 27.3 last quarter when leading all of the way here last week. She is going to need some luck from this draw but will be charging home if she sees daylight. WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (8) did too much work when 4th here last week but is the class runner of the field and can overcome the wide draw. THEREUGO (1) should get an easy time in front and will give them something to catch. LIAM NEIL (4) is racing well for his new stable and can play a part again. Tips: 10 8 1 4 Suggested Bet: ARMA IMDIE (10) each way. Race 4 VAMPIRO (1) led and was outsprinted by GALACTIC STAR (9) when 2nd to that pacer at his last start. He is likely to roll along a bit quicker and should prove hard to catch. MIGHTY CONQUEROR (3) faced the breeze and knocked up to finish 4th in that event but will be fitter for that run and could be ready to show his best. GALACTIC STAR (9) sprinted brilliantly to win that race but isn’t as well drawn here. OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (10) looks a good place chance from his nice trailing draw. Tips: 1 9 3 10 Suggested Bet: VAMPIRO (1) to win. Race 5 TO FAST TO SERIOUS (11) created a big impression last campaign in winning six of his eight starts. He warmed up for this with a nice 2nd in a recent Byford trial and will be hard to hold out first-up. TRIROYALE BRIGADE (1) must be considered from the pole based on his 2nd to the talented Perfect Major two starts back. EUPHORIC MOMENT (10) always seems to find one better but looks a good place chance from his nice trailing draw. ALTA INTRIGUE (8) is now approaching peak fitness and is racing well but the draw hurts. Tips: 11 1 10 8 Suggested Bet: TO FAST TO SERIOUS (11) to win. Race 6 ALTA RHETT (2) ran on strongly to finish 3rd at his last start and he looks a good chance to find the front and will be hard to beat in that role. TAROONA BROMAC (6) looked back to his best when leading throughout from this draw on Wednesday and looks the main danger. MISTER ARDEE (1) ran on well to finish 3rd here last week and will enjoy a lovely run on the pegs. IM ROCKNROLL MAGIC (5) is working back up to his best and can be placed. Tips: 2 6 1 5 Suggested Bet: ALTA RHETT (2) to win. Race 7 STAR FROMTHEPALACE (1) has battled back row draws at her last two starts but has still recorded a win and a 2nd. She goes up in class tonight but that is offset by the pole draw and she appeals as the one to beat. BLUE CHIP ADDA (2) impressed with a dominant victory here last week and looks the obvious danger from this barrier. FIFTY FIVE REBORN (11) was a strong winner from the breeze here two starts back and should play a part. MISS LAMARR (10) is drawn to get the run of the race and won’t be far away. Tips: 1 2 11 10 Suggested Bet: STAR FROMTHEPALACE (1) to win. Race 8 J B MAUNEY (10) has won four of his last five starts, all from the stand and is clearly the one to beat here despite the 20m handicap. MAKOCZAR (3) led when 2nd to the favourite before leading throughout at his last start and will be hard to catch if he does lead. GONZOS SHADOW (5) led and bolted in beating a nice horse at his last start and will play a part if he steps quickly. FLYING MISTER IDEAL (7) did lead throughout to beat J B MAUNEY (10) two starts ago but goes back to the 10m line tonight. Tips: 10 3 5 7 Suggested Bet: J B MAUNEY (10) to win. Race 9 PERFECT MAJOR (1) won his last two starts in Victoria and has made a big impression in winning his first three starts in WA. He has had to work in those races but does possess good gate speed and looks extremely hard to beat. RAKASINC (9) has only missed a place once in his past nine starts and has the strength to overcome the wide draw. MAJOR STARE (8) resumes here after a two-year absence but has trialled nicely so monitor the betting. ANGEL IN WHITE (2) looks a big improver from this draw and can be placed at odds. Tips: 1 9 8 2 Suggested Bet: PERFECT MAJOR (1) to win. Race 10 PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (7) led throughout in slick time before facing the breeze when a gallant 2nd here last week. He looks set to do all of the work again tonight but will give a great sight. AS HAPPY AS LARRY (3) was first-up after a six-week break when a narrow 2nd off 50m and is a proven performer in this company. ARGYLE RED (1) will appreciate not chasing Chicago Bull and has the speed to lead if desired. ELOQUENT MACH (5) is another who will appreciate a drop in class and will be suited by the likely strong tempo. Tips: 7 3 1 5 Suggested Bet: PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (7) to win. Market Market
