Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 15, 2020October 15, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 BENESARI LANE (9) looked to go off slightly at the end of her last campaign but resumed with an impressive victory here after racing near the rear. She is drawn poorly again tonight in a stronger field but should still give a great sight. JOELENE (10) dashed home in 28.2 in a recent Byford trial victory and should play a part on debut if she has any luck from this barrier. AMERICAN ARMA (2) has also displayed ability in trials and must be considered. BETTOR BEACH BELLE (8) has been placed in seven of her 11 starts but is drawn poorly. Tips: 9 10 2 8 Suggested Bet: BENESARI LANE (9) to win. Race 2 THE LAST DROP (1) was a surprise leader last start and made the most of it when an all-the-way winner here. He should find the front again tonight and should prove hard to catch. ALTA INTRIGUE (10) resumes here after a 28-month absence without a trial but has plenty of ability so watch the market. DIAMOND LIFE (11) has won her last three on end after leading but can still play a part despite drawing the back line. EUPHORIC MOMENT (2) had no luck when beaten as a $1.70 favourite at his last start and should be prominent throughout. Tips: 1 10 11 2 Suggested Bet: THE LAST DROP (1) to win. Race 3 JIMMY MACK (1) was a strong winner here before being terrorised in front when 5th at his last start. He should get an easier lead tonight and give them something to catch. MY CARBON COPY (3) has been placed at his last six starts and his big finish makes him the obvious danger. BETTOR BE OSCAR (2) ran a nice 3rd at big odds at his first start back from a spell and shouldn’t be far away from his nice draw. TAROONA BROMAC (4) has finished near the rear at his first two runs back from a spell and should be ready to improve. Tips: 1 3 2 4 Suggested Bet: JIMMY MACK (1) to win. Race 4 STROKE OF LUCK (2) finished midfield at his first run back from a spell. He is significantly better drawn tonight and looks a major player. IM SOXY (1) drops in class on his two first-up assignments and has options from the pole. EL JACKO (4) had no luck last week and is always dangerous with the right run. PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (5) had to do too much work when a beaten favourite last week and should be thereabouts with a better trip in transit. Tips: 2 1 4 5 Suggested Bet: EL JACKO (4) each way. Race 5 CHICAGO BULL (1) brought up his eighth win from his last nine starts when leading throughout to defeat SHOCKWAVE (2) last start and is drawn to repeat the dose. SHOCKWAVE (2) chased hard when 2nd to the little champ and will make things interesting if he sits behind the leader and sees daylight early enough. VAMPIRO (7) has the gate speed to test the favourite in the early stages and would give them something to catch if he did manage to cross at the start. OCEAN RIDGE (4) looks a place chance from this draw. Tips: 1 2 7 4 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (1) to win. Race 6 BAYLAN JETT (1) led throughout here five starts back and has had to contend with bad draws when unplaced at his subsequent runs. He draws to lead tonight and will prove hard to catch. CANT REFUSE (4) impressed when a strong winner at his first run since crossing the Nullabor and looks set for a profitable campaign. JACK FARTHING (2) has his first start in the state and should give a great sight based on his form around the likes of Balraj. MISTER BUSHIDO (3) is racing consistently and won’t be far away again. Tips: 1 4 2 3 Suggested Bet: BAYLAN JETT (1) to win. Race 7 CARTER MICHEAL (3) had to burn hard to find the front and that told late when a 6m 4th in stronger company here last week. He is capable in front or with a sit and looks the one to beat tonight. CROCODILE KID (1) produces his best efforts when on the pegs and has options from the pole. CAPTAIN KIRK (7) drops in class on his recent assignments and looks capable of improvement despite the wide draw. FREE TO AIR (10) is always a place chance when he draws to get a soft trip. Tips: 3 1 7 10 Suggested Bet: CARTER MICHEAL (3) to win. Race 8 LIAM NEIL (2) impressed at his second run for the Hall camp when a dominant winner here on Tuesday. He is drawn inside his main rivals tonight and is clearly the one to beat. DREAMY NIGHTS (3) form tapered off before a spell but he was racing in stronger company and can give a sight first-up if near his best. HOIHO (11) is drawn to get a nice run from his trailing draw and shouldn’t be far away. CHARLIE EL (1) has been unplaced at his past 42 starts but could sneak into the money from his perfect draw. Tips: 2 3 11 1 Suggested Bet: LIAM NEIL (2) to win. Race 9 ROMAN ART (1) worked to find the front before recording an impressive first-up win here last week. It is possible that he gets crossed at the start but is capable whether leading or sitting and should prove hard to beat under either scenario. LORD ROSCO (4) has blistering gate speed and will give them something to catch if he does cross at the start. QUICK STRIDE (2) and HENWOOD BAY (3) are both drawn to get nice runs just off the speed and both can be dangerous late. Tips: 1 4 2 3 Suggested Bet: ROMAN ART (1) to win. Race 10 AMERICAN DELIGHT (5) won two of her last four starts before a short break. She is drawn inside her main rivals tonight and should prove hard to beat if anywhere near her top. QUEEN SHENANDOAH (7) is racing extremely consistently and will appreciate taking on her own sex tonight. DELIGHTFULREACTION (6) has been racing well in stronger company and is always dangerous with the right run. HAS NO FEAR (9) was a good last start winner against a similar field and will be charging home if the early tempo is genuine. Tips: 5 7 6 9 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN DELIGHT (5) to win. Race 11 THE IDEAL TOUCH (10) has led throughout for comfortable victories at his three starts in WA. He moves to the backline and goes up in class for this assignment but still appeals as the one to beat. BLUE CHIP ADDA (9) flashed home to finish 5th from the same draw here last week but will be better suited by a likely stronger tempo tonight. POCKET THE CASH (8) has been placed in 20 of his 29 race starts and is capable of overcoming the wide draw. HOTFOOT IT (7) was an unlucky 3rd here first-up and looks set for a solid campaign. Tips: 10 9 8 7 Suggested Bet: POCKET THE CASH (8) each way. Market Market
