Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 24, 2020September 24, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 LIAM NEIL (3) has always been a consistent type and has won 13 of his 61 career starts. He joins the Hall camp and a recent 2nd to Im Soxy in a Byford trial indicates that he will be hard to beat against this line-up. DREDLOCKROCKSTAR (1) ran a solid 2nd at his last start and has the gate speed to lead if desired. CROCODILE KID (10) chased hard when a distant 2nd here last week and will be thereabouts if he has any luck from this draw. TUAS DELIGHT (9) is racing well but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 3 1 10 9 Suggested Bet: LIAM NEIL (3) to win. Race 2 JACK WILLIAM (5) faced the breeze and was awarded 2nd on protest here last week. He can push forward at the start and has the strength to be right in the finish. MISTER BUSHIDO (11) couldn’t make up the required ground in a sprint home last week but will be suited by the likelihood of a solid tempo tonight. SPACE JUNK (10) was held up for a run when 3rd here last week and only needs an ounce of luck to be a winning chance. QTOWN RIP ROARING (1) led throughout here three starts back in a weaker field and has options. Tips: 5 11 10 1 Suggested Bet: JACK WILLIAM (5) to win. Race 3 EXTREME PRINCE (1) led throughout here three starts back and was fancied to do the same last week but was crossed at the start. He is no certainty to hold up tonight but will give a great sight if he does lead. JIMMY MACK (6) ran a nice 3rd here last week and should provide good each way value. CARTER MICHEAL (11) has been placed in his last four starts and can be right in the finish again. ROCK ME OVER (4) hit the line nicely and can win if he gets the right run in transit. Tips: 1 6 11 4 Suggested Bet: JIMMY MACK (6) each way. Race 4 MY CARBON COPY (8) ran a nice 3rd to Chicago Bull here last week and his wide draw is offset by the small field and drop in class. SIR GALAHAD (4) has resumed from a spell with two impressive victories and is ready for this tougher assignment. RAKASINC (2) led throughout to win four on end before running a solid 2nd here last week and will be hard to beat if he can find the top. FORGOTTEN HIGHWAY (3) ran on well to finish 3rd to SIR GALAHAD (4) last week and will settle closer to the leaders from this draw. Tips: 8 4 2 3 Suggested Bet: MY CARBON COPY (8) to win. Race 5 SHOCKWAVE (1) led and over-raced but fought on gamely to defeat Chicago Bull at his first start back from a break. He looks the leader again and will be very hard to catch. MIGHTY CONQUEROR (6) won the WA Pacing Cup from the breeze at his last start and resumes here so must be respected. BLETCHLEY PARK (4) chased hard when 2nd to Chicago Bull here last week and looks the only other winning chance. CHIAROSCURO (2) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be placed. Tips: 1 6 4 2 Suggested Bet: SHOCKWAVE (1) to win. Race 6 SOHO HAMILTON (4) has put together a good record in Victoria and impressed at his WA debut when running on from the rear to finish 2nd to Henrik Larsson here last week. This looks an easier assignment and he should prove hard to beat. BE MY ROCK (9) won two on end before working hard when narrowly beaten here on Tuesday and can play a part despite the barrier. THE VERANDAH (2) and LA SULIEMAN (1) both have gate speed and look good place chances from their nice draws. Tips: 4 9 2 1 Suggested Bet: SOHO HAMILTON (4) to win. Race 7 BROADBEACH (11) has recorded comfortable victories at her two starts in WA and looks capable of overcoming the backline draw. RED HOT LADY (6) has won two of her last four starts in easier company and can give a sight if she crosses at the start. INTHESKYROCKET (9) has won three of her last four starts but will need a touch of luck from out here. ASKMEILLTELLYA (8) won two on end before disappointing last start but must be considered. Tips: 11 6 9 8 Suggested Bet: RED HOT LADY (6) each way. Race 8 THE BUCKEYE BULLET (9) resumed with two impressive wins before doing things wrong but putting up a brave effort when 2nd at Pinjarra. He is suited by the small field and will be hard to hold out. KIWI BLOKE (1) has led at his last four goes from the stand for one win and three 2nds and should give a great sight again. JB MAUNEY (4) did things wrong at his last start but looks the other winning chance on his best behaviour. IM ROCKNROLL MAGIC (8) has had no luck at his last two starts and can be a big improver. Tips: 9 1 4 8 Suggested Bet: THE BUCKEYE BULLET (9) to win. Race 9 OUR ALFIE ROMEO (8) couldn’t catch Typhoon Tiff in a 55.4 half last start but they shouldn’t run home that quick here and is the one to beat. MISS SANGRIAL (7) raced very well when last in work and should be charging home tonight. QUEEN SHENANDOAH (5) has performed well from wide barriers at her last two starts and will appreciate drawing inside her main rivals tonight. BATAVIA SILVERLINE (1) won from this draw at her last start before a break and should be competitive first-up. Tips: 8 7 5 1 Suggested Bet: OUR ALFIE ROMEO (8) to win. Race 10 ROMAN AVIATOR (1) led here last week and dashed home in 27.8 but it wasn’t enough to hold off The Bird Dance. He looks the leader again and should give a great sight. PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (4) faced the breeze and fought on well to finish 2nd to My Carbon Copy at his last start and should be in the finish again. EL JACKO (5) has competed against Chicago Bull at his last five starts and will appreciate the drop in class. ALWAYS AN HONOUR (2) is drawn to get a lovely run and can figure at his first run back from a spell. Tips: 1 4 5 2 Suggested Bet: ROMAN AVIATOR (1) to win. Race 11 GIVE US A WAVE (1) led throughout to win the Westbred Classic before running a great 2nd in the Golden Slipper. He is drawn to lead and should get away with plenty in front. JETT STAR (5) made a big impression in winning five of his six starts in his first campaign. He is probably the best horse in the field but will have to do some work to win from this draw. LAVRA JOE (3) started favourite when 2nd to JETT STAR (5) in the Pearl Classic and looks the other winning chance. BE ROCK HARD (2) can be placed from this draw. Tips: 1 5 3 2 Suggested Bet: GIVE US A WAVE (1) to win. Market Market
