Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 16, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 BOLTA (3) was a good winner here against a similar field two starts back before running a brave 3rd to Lord Rosco after drawing wide. He should enjoy a lovely run tonight and will be hard to hold out. PIERRE WHITBY (1) has been placed at his past two starts and should be right in the finish from the pole draw. ONE FOR DAVE ANDME (5) led throughout to defeat PIERRE WHITBBY (1) at his last start but is awkwardly drawn here. ART TUTOR (2) has run some nice races at big odds recently and will give cheek if he finds the top. Tips: 3 1 5 2 Suggested Bet: BOLTA (3) to win. Race 2 ULTIMATE OFFER (4) worked hard when a brave 3rd in a stand here at his last start and looks the one to beat in this field. CARTER MICHEAL (3) has only been placed once in his six starts back from a spell but should be ready to show his best from this draw. OUR RHYTHM N BLUES (10) worked too hard here last week but must be considered on his previous form. TWENTYNINE TWELVE (1) attempted to lead throughout when 4th here last week but might be a better chance with a sit tonight. Tips: 4 3 10 1 Suggested Bet: ULTIMATE OFFER (4) to win. Race 3 THEREUGO (1) was only 6.5m from the winner when 3rd to King Of Swing in 1.54.4 four starts back. He resumes here tonight and will be very hard to catch if near his top. LIGHTNING JOLT (10) ran on well to finish 5th here last week and will enjoy a soft run on the pegs. MISTER BUSHIDO (9) was a comfortable all-the-way winner here last week and must be considered despite the wide draw. OUR PERKINS (11) was another who led throughout at his last start and is drawn to get a soft run in transit tonight. Tips: 1 10 9 11 Suggested Bet: LIGHTNING JOLT (10) each way. Race 4 HANDSANDWHEELS (2) was first-up last week when driven conservatively and running a fair 5th behind CHICAGO BULL (7). He is drawn to lead tonight and can turn the tables on his main rival. CHICAGO BULL (7) has won four of his last six starts including a dominant victory last week and is clearly the main danger. IDEAL LINER (3) resumes here without a trial but has plenty of ability and shouldn’t be far away. TOMMY BE GOOD (1) doesn’t have the class of the big guns but can sneak into the money from the pole. Tips: 2 7 3 1 Suggested Bet: HANDSANDWHEELS (2) to win. Race 5 CYCLONE BANNER (3) was sent out a short-priced favourite but couldn’t catch While They Pray in a slick 1.54.7 here last week. He looks a good chance to get a soft lead tonight and will be hard to catch. SANGUE REALE (6) resumes after an outstanding campaign in the 4YO Classics and a recent Pinjarra trial win in good time suggests he will run a big race first-up. JIMMY MACK (7) was a strong last start 3rd and can play a part with the right run. DESTINED TO RULE (1) is racing well and shouldn’t be far away from the pole Tips: 3 6 7 1 Suggested Bet: CYCLONE BANNER (3) to win. Race 6 DIVINIA BELLEZZA (2) started favourite in a similar field last start but couldn’t find the front and locked wheels at a crucial stage. She enjoys a handicap advantage over her main rivals and will be hard to catch if she finds the top. FORGOTTEN HIGHWAY (10) is finally starting to live up to his potential with two strong wins in quick time at his last two starts and looks a major player. IM ROCKNROLL MAGIC (8) is a newcomer into the Lewis camp so monitor the betting. MAJOR SHARD (1) looks a good each way chance from the pole. Tips: 2 10 8 1 Suggested Bet: DIVINIA BELLEZZA (2) to win. Race 7 JUST ROCKON BYE (5) couldn’t get into the race at her last start but her previous form, including a 3rd to While They Pray in 1.55.8, is good enough to make her the one to beat here. FAKE NEWS (2) raced extremely well last time in and will give a great sight if she is anywhere near her best first-up. PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (1) has options from the pole and should be thereabouts. ARMA INDIE (7) was a very nice first-up 3rd here last week but is drawn outside her main rivals. Tips: 5 2 1 7 Suggested Bet: JUST ROCKON BYE (5) to win. Race 8 FIFTY FIVE REBORN (6) overcame a wide draw to beat a strong field here two starts back before working to the breeze from a backline draw when 4th to Blockjorg at Pinjarra. Shew should find the breeze comfortably tonight and appeals as the one to beat. MISS LAMARR (3) ran 3rd in the Blockjorg event on Monday and must be considered from this draw. SOHO WHISPER (1) was held up when 8th in that event but has the pole draw tonight. STAR OF DIAMONDS (2) led when 2nd in the same race and should give a sight again. Tips: 6 3 1 2 Suggested Bet: FIFTY FIVE REBORN (6) to win. Race 9 SUGAR STREET (3) has faced the breeze at his last two starts and finished 2nd to Be rock Hard on both occasions. They have sprinted home in under 56 seconds in those events and he looks the one to beat. BURLEIGH SHARD (4) led when 3rd in one of those events and should be right in the finish here. OUR SHELLEY BEACH (1) is an improving type who ran a nice 3rd last start and can play a part from the pole. OTIS (2) goes up in class on his last start victory but that is offset by his nice draw. Tips: 3 4 1 2 Suggested Bet: SUGAR STREET (3) to win. Market Market
