Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 2, 2020July 2, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 OUR PERKINS (3) led throughout in good time in May and has battled bad barriers at his subsequent starts. He draws to make a play for the top tonight and will be very hard to catch if he takes up that role. CARTER MICHEAL (11) has been held up for a run at his last two starts and should be charging home here. DISCO UNDER FIRE (4) put up a huge performance in a stand on Monday and can play a part. PRADAS IDEAL DAHLING (10) has been disappointing of late but may improve off a soft run. Tips: 3 11 4 10 Suggested Bet: OUR PERKINS (3) to win. Race 2 OUR RHYTHM N BLUES (2) was a strong winner from the breeze here three starts back and was a brave 3rd last week after having a similar trip. He is perfectly drawn tonight and looks hard to beat. JIMMY MACK (6) was fancied but wasn’t quite up to the class when 4th to Bletchley Park in quick time at his last start. This is an easier assignment and he should be thereabouts. CUT ABOVE (1) was a solid last start winner in easier company and has the pole draw. QTOWN RIP ROARING (10) loves this draw and can be dangerous late. Tips: 2 6 1 10 Suggested Bet: OUR RHYTHM N BLUES (2) to win. Race 3 AFFLUENT BELL (1) attempted to lead throughout last start when beating all but the talented To Fast To Serious. He doesn’t meet any with that ability tonight and should prove hard to catch. BOOM TIME (7) ran on strongly when 2nd here recently and can overcome the wide draw. WALSH (12) was a strong 3rd here last week but is drawn poorly again. ALTA RHETT (11) has been placed at his last four starts and shouldn’t be far away again. Tips: 1 7 12 11 Suggested Bet: AFFLUENT BELL (1) to win. Race 4 ROBBIE EASTON (6) faced the breeze and was no match for the winner in a 55.8 last half here last week. This looks an easier assignment and he can control the tempo tonight. GANGBUSTER (2) has won two of his last five starts and shouldn’t be far away from his nice draw. MATTJESTIC STAR (1) has only been placed once in his last 25 starts but could be a big improver from the pole. MISTER ARDEE (3) drops in class tonight and should be ready to fire at his third run back from a spell. Tips: 6 2 1 3 Suggested Bet: ROBBIE EASTON (6) to win. Race 5 JUST FOR LOVE (1) was a good winner here before chasing home Black Jack Baby last week. This is significantly easier and she looks extremely hard to beat from the pole. SECRET REACTION (6) has the form to match the favourite but is drawn poorly. STAR FOR ME (10) is drawn to get a lovely run and looks a good place chance. BETTOR BEACH BELLE (12) ran 2nd to the favourite two starts back but has an awkward draw to overcome. Tips: 1 6 10 12 Suggested Bet: JUST FOR LOVE (1) to win. Race 6 MANDY JOAN (5) was a strong winner from the breeze before running a brave 2nd here from the same position last week. She is drawn inside her main rivals tonight and can control the race. JUST ROCKON BYE (9) is racing extremely well and is capable of causing an upset if she gets the right cart into the event. MILLWOOD GUCCI (3) led when a solid 3rd here last week and should give a sight again. QUEEN SHENANDOAH (7) has won two of her last three starts and is always dangerous with the right trip. Tips: 5 9 3 7 Suggested Bet: MANDY JOAN (5) to win. Race 7 DIVINIA BELLEZZA (4) was placed on four consecutive occasions before finding the front on Tuesday when a comfortable winner. She began soundly in her last attempt from the stand and appeals as the one to beat. ULTIMATE OFFER (11) couldn’t make ground in a 55.8 half last week and looks better suited here. REBEL WITH A GRIN (2) would be a chance if he could find the top and has rebounded from his tough run on Monday. SON OF A TIGER (12) has a 40m handicap to overcome but impressed in a recent trial. Tips: 4 11 2 12 Suggested Bet: DIVINIA BELLEZZA (4) to win. Race 8 DOUBLE EXPRESSO (9) won 12 of her first 16 starts but the gloss has come off with defeats in her past five outings. The efforts have still been full of merit and she is the one to beat despite the wide draw. SPORTS PACKAGE (8) inflicted one of those defeats in the WA Oaks and looks a danger again. RED HOT LADY (3) rises in class for this assignment but is racing well and is the best drawn of the main chances. FIFTY FIVE REBORN (7) didn’t have much luck either side of a solid win here and can play a part. Tips: 9 8 3 7 Suggested Bet: DOUBLE EXPRESSO (9) to win. Race 9 CHICAGO BULL (7) has won three of his past four starts and looks extremely hard to beat again despite drawing the outside barrier. VULTAN TIN (3) led and was only was nosed out on the line by CHICAGO BULL (7) in May and looks the obvious danger. CHIAROSCURO (2) was a fair 4th at his first run back from a spell in easier company and can be placed. GOLDEN STATE (4) had no luck last start and can be in the money with the right trip. Tips: 7 3 2 4 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (7) to win. Race 10 INFATUATION (2) has led throughout to win three of his last four starts and looks the one to beat after drawing inside his main rival. CYCLONE BANNER (4) has also won three of his last four and has probably been more impressive than INFATUATION (2) but hasn’t been favoured by the draw. SAMMYS IDEAL (1) should enjoy a lovely run on the speed and can be placed. MARAS ACE MAN (3) should also obtain a nice run close to the speed and has the hood added tonight. Tips: 2 4 1 3 Suggested Bet: INFATUATION (2) to win. Market Market
