RACE 1

NERO CHIN CHIN resumed in a C1 event and was far from disgraced. Settled rearward and made a sustained run from the back to finish 4th and only beaten under 3L. Drops back into maiden company and should prove hard to beat with any luck from the draw. ZEPHYRSCHINO finds a race without any real speed and if Dhurun can kick through to lead gets her chance to break her duck. POPPIES continues to run the exact same honest and consistent race. NOBEL RIZE is the only other real runner with any degree of speed so should run an improved race here.

RACE 2

MADRID CENTRO has been a brilliant horse to the Tabtouch Blog on a Friday. Last time out he won eased down by 15.75L (not a typo). Should again find the front and while the only vulnerability might be that he is back a furlong in trip, if he reproduces his last start effort they’ll be running into his dust. ARGOON is a strong chaser and if he is within 4L turning for home has the late speed to make a race of it. MYBAK has raced well since arriving in Carnarvon and should hold his form. BULL BAILEY next best and improving.

RACE 3

BROWSING hasn’t been seen for 474 days and now lands in Carnarvon in the stables of Rick Evans. Recent Carnarvon trial was strong and on her day she has dazzling early speed. If she leaves cleanly then Snaggers Sardelic should be looking to run them off their legs over the short course. STILL AWAKE is better suited over further but showed first-up that she’ll be winning races this preparation. QUIRINIDI is fresh 42 days between run but a nice ride for Hannah Fitzgerald. ENACTMENT can improve with Natasha Faithfull going on.

RACE 4

STRIDE OUT was able to run them into the ground at his most recent. Absolutely loves the dirt in Carnarvon and while the wide draw makes things much more interesting he should still be able to get across at worst to the breeze. If he does cross it should be lights out. THE CHORISTER also won well last start but in lower grade and in far slower time comparatively to Stride Out. KNUCKLE DOWN was honest fresh. BROCKHOFF wins one soon for Michelle Hagley.

RACE 5

LUCKY CHARLIE is super consistent and once he hits form he holds it as well as any galloper in the region. Beaux Edwards 1.5kg country claim is luxurious at the minute and from the gate Lucky Charlie should be given every mortal hope. FERNGROVE put in an uncharacteristic shocker last start. If he jumps with them is the clear danger to the stablemate. SEA TRYST is rising 12 year old but continues to run great races. RHINO BUTER showed he is very close last start. Building and a big Carnarvon Cup player.

RACE 6

DANEFIN won well at his first-up run at Carnarvon and Ray Malpass decided to skip the most recent meeting to save for this assignment. Malpass’ stable is flying at the minute andhe has a rejuvenated Danefin going super. COSTA LANTE won well at Geraldton’s closing meeting. If he handles the dirt circuit then he should be winning more races. BLITZ GLORY has a few gear changes and draws the inside gate. PAIR OF FIVEZ will be a sharp improver the day he can find the fence.
