The Scout: UFC Blachowicz vs Teixeira Posted on October 28, 2021October 31, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Jan Blachowicz vs Glover Teixeira The UFC’s Light Heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz (28-8) puts his belt on the line against Glover Teixeira (32-7) in the UFC 267 co-main event. Blachowicz has been on a tear, dating back to 2019, winning his last five fights including a most recent title defense against Israel Adesanya. Teixeira is on a five fight win streak of his own, with the Brazilian the UFC’s all-time leader in finishes in the 205 pound division. The Polish champion is deserving of his belt, and a deserved favourite, but if you dig into his recent results they may not be as impressive as they appear. Adesanya met Blachowicz moving up a weight class, and with very little lead in time. All bar one of the other four victories were against opponents coming off a loss. Both of these fighters offer a similar style and skillset, relying on their boxing and heavy hands to take out their opponents. Blachowicz has the speed advantage and will use his jab and footwork to score points, but Teixeira is very difficult to put away and has shown that he’s dangerous even when wounded. If Teixeira can avoid the jab and Blachowicz’ famous “Polish Power” I see the Brazilian claiming the belt at the ripe old age of 42. Suggested Bet: Glover Teixeira WIN @ $3.15* *Odds correct as at 4pm, 28th October 2021. Market Market
