The Scout: NBA Finals Game 6

Golden State Warriors @ Boston Celtics

Golden State came out firing in Game 5, and despite a second half comeback from Boston, walked away with a comfortable 104-94 win. Now 3-2 up in the series, Steve Kerr and the Warriors are just one game away from their fourth NBA Championship in eight years.

The Celtics had a poor start to Game 5, opening the game with 12 consecutive misses from beyond the three-point arc (a new record for the NBA Finals). Their shining light from this game was the defensive adjustment made to stop Steph Curry, who scored just 16 points and failed to make a three pointer. Don’t expect that to happen again!

Their 2-1 series lead feels like a long time ago now, and it’s hard to predict exactly how Boston will respond here in Game 6. They have the pressure of keeping the series alive, in front of their raucous home crowd, and a relatively inexperienced roster that has shown signs of not handling the pressure at the biggest moments.

Game 5 saw a further breakout from Andrew Wiggins (26 points) while Klay Thompson had another strong shooting night. Jayson Tatum isn’t playing like Boston need him to, and Golden State have all the momentum and all the confidence. Warriors in six.

Suggested Bets: Warriors to Win @ $2.40*

Suggested Bets: Stephen Curry Over 28.5 points @ $1.75*
