The Scout: NBA Best Bets

Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks clearly don’t like Game 1’s with a career-high 40 points from Jimmy Butler sinking them in the series opener.

Giannis was far from his usual self in Game 1, particular in the 4th quarter where he had just three points, and the same number of turnovers.

Milwaukee were the best team all regular season and have shown that the 1-0 deficit doesn’t worry them over a seven game series. An improved showing in Game 2 is a given.

For Miami, Butler and Goran Dragic combined for 67 points on better than 60% shooting. Needless to say, this level is not sustainable, even for one more game.

Suggested Bet: Milwaukee -5.5 (Line) @ $1.97*

Oklahoma City Thunder vs Houston Rockets

Houston’s game plan won’t change here in Game 7, but we should see a lift in their intensity from the opening tip.

In Houston’s three wins this series, the average margin has been 20 points, and I expect Harden and Westbrook to be relentless in their offensive forays here in the decider.

OKC have been gallant but it was ultimately Houston who let Game 6 slip. James Harden might have the most at stake in this game and I’m expecting him to deliver in a big way.

Suggested Bet: Houston 11+ (Margin) @ $2.90*
