The Scout: EPL Week 25 Posted on February 19, 2021February 19, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Southampton vs Chelsea Southampton (13th) have lost six straight Premier League games while Chelsea (4th) have won four of their last five under new manager Thomas Tuchel. The Blues are playing a new brand of football, dominating possession and turning that into goal scoring opportunities. Looking to benefit from this (and in need of a fresh start) is Timo Werner, who ended his 15 game goalless streak last matchday against Newcastle. Werner was signed to Chelsea as a goal scoring machine and has all the weapons at his disposal. The German is strong, incredibly fast for his size and a great finisher. I think last week was a sign of things to come and Werner starts to fulfil the hype that came when he signed with the Blues. Suggested Bet: Timo Werner Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.30* West Ham vs Tottenham West Ham (5th) are desperately close to a top four spot following their clinical 3-0 win over lowly Sheffield United last week. Injuries have derailed Tottenham (9th) who have lost four of their last five, and look in danger of sliding even further down the league table. West Ham’s signing of Jesse Lingard on-loan from Manchester United has been a stroke of brilliance with the forward adding another element to the Hammers’ attack. Not only do West Ham attack ferociously, but their defense has improved considerably. Teams are having a tough time breaking through with just one goal conceded in their last three games. The Hammers have tasted defeat just once in 10 matches and I think that run is about to stretch to 11. Suggested Bet: West Ham (Match Result) @ $2.50* Arsenal vs Manchester City Arsenal (10th) broke a two game losing streak with a gritty 4-2 win over Leeds while Manchester City (1st) are 10 points clear of second place, with one hand on the league trophy. The juggernaut that is Manchester City has won six straight in the Premier League, looking close to unbeatable in the process. In their last two games they’ve beaten Everton 3-1 and Liverpool 4-1. City have never struggled to find the back of the net and this season has been no different. They’ve scored 49 times so far with a massive 17 goals coming in their last five matches. The attacking depth of this City roster is simply frightening. In four of their last five matches they’ve scored 3+ goals and I see no reason for this not to be the case again here. Suggested Bet: Manchester City Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.90* *Odds correct as at 2pm, 19th February 2021. Market Market
