The Scout: EPL Week 24

Leicester vs Liverpool

3rd hosts 4th here with Leicester coming off a lacklustre 0-0 draw with Wolves, and Liverpool having lost two straight.

Liverpool are now ten points behind Manchester City and would need a monumental shift in form (not just their own!) to challenge for this year’s title.

The loss of Virgil Van Dijk has devastated their defense but they remain one of the most potent attacking teams in the league. Their 44 goals for the season is second only to Manchester United’s 49.

Leading the way for the Reds has been Mo Salah who tops the Premier League in goals scored (16). He’s scored three times in Liverpool’s last three games (including the opener against West Ham) and I think he’s a good bet to do the same again here.

Suggested Bet: Mohammed Salah First Goalscorer @ $4.50*

West Ham vs Sheffield United

Despite their last-up 0-0 draw with Fulham, West Ham (6th) remain one of the form teams of the competition having won five of their last six prior.

Sheffield United (20th) are dead last on the table and despite two wins coming from their last five games, would need a (major) miracle to avoid relegation.

Sheffield United have struggled in attack all season, with just 15 goals coming from their opening 23 games. That’s the second lowest tally in the league (behind Burnley) and it’s hard to see them breaching this West Ham defense.

The Hammers have been in front at half time in three of their last four wins and have only lost once in 2021. They should be far too good here.

Suggested Bet: West Ham (Half/Normal Time Double) @ $2.60*

Arsenal vs Leeds

Arsenal (11th) have lost two in a row and play host to Leeds (10th) who have won three of their last four – which includes a 3-1 beatdown of Leicester.

Leeds are playing their best football of the season with their most recent 2-0 win over Crystal Palace an absolute demolition – they had nearly 70% of possession!

The link-up play between Raphinha and Patrick Bamford has been phenomenal with each player recording two goals and three assists in their last four games. Bamford has 12 goals for the season (just one less than Harry Kane!) and has been a real shining light for this team.

Arsenal don’t have a settled lineup at the moment and have scored just once in their last three games. I think an upset is on the cards.

Suggested Bet: Leeds (Match Result) @ $4*
