The Scout: EPL Week 24 Posted on February 9, 2022February 9, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Tottenham vs Southampton Tottenham (7th) have only tasted defeat once in their last ten Premier League fixtures while Southampton (12th) will be looking to avoid a third straight match without a win. Antonio Conte’s side have accumulated 13 points from the last 15 available at home and have scored at least twice in all those games. They play with confidence at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and will attack Southampton from the opening whistle. Harry Kane has turned his season around under Antonio Conte and looks to be his usual goal scoring self. The English striker has scored four goals in his last six matches, however his two goalless matches were when Tottenham failed to find the back of the net. It’s clear when Tottenham are at their best and scoring goals that their leading striker Kane is most likely on the end of them. Kane is one of the best finishers in the world and will have plenty of opportunities to score in a match that will be dominated by Spurs. Suggested Bet: Harry Kane to Score a Goal @ $2* Wolverhampton vs Arsenal Wolves (8th) saw their FA cup hopes end last week but can now put their focus back to the Premier League. Arsenal (6th) have started to struggle and have not won a match in any league since losing to Manchester City at the start of the year. Wolverhampton have an opportunity to leapfrog Arsenal on the table with a victory and they will fancy their chances. Bruno Lage’s side has been perfect so far in 2022 and have won three matches in a row and have shown great balance between their attack and defense. Mikel Arteta’s men are now winless in five games across all competitions including back-to-back losses in the Premier League. What is most worrying is their severe lack of goal scoring power and have only managed one goal during these five matches. Arsenal will struggle with this trip to Molineux Stadium, as they come up against a Wolves outfit that defend incredibly well and do not give up easy possession. Wolverhampton will suffocate the struggling Arsenal attack and look for opportunities to counter, they present excellent value at home as I expect them to get the job done. Suggested Bet: Wolverhampton WIN @ $3* Liverpool vs Leicester Liverpool (2nd) have won back-to-back games in the Premier League while their opponents Leicester (10th) have struggled with form recently and will be looking to avoid their third straight loss. This is a revenge game for Liverpool who lost 1-0 to Leicester at King Power Stadium earlier this year. There will be a different narrative this time around at Anfield as Liverpool have not lost a Premier League fixture at home all season. The pressure is building on Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers after a 4-1 loss to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup earlier this month. Fans will be looking for an immediate response but they will not be given what they ask for as Rodgers return to Anfield will not be a success. The Reds are dominant on home soil and in their last five fixtures at Anfield they have scored a massive 15 goals. The Foxes have conceded 37 goals in 20 league games which ranks them in the bottom half defensively and against a red hot Liverpool side we can expect plenty of goals from the home side, Suggested Bet: Liverpool Over 3.5 Goals @ $3* *Odds correct as at 6am, 9th February 2022.
