The Scout: EPL Matchday 7

Huddersfield vs Tottenham
29th September, 10pm WST

The numbers don’t lie for bottom placed Huddersfield. Without a win through six games they boast the league’s equal worst attack (3 goals scored) and the league’s equal worst defense with 14 goals conceded.

Something needs to change immediately if the Terriers are to avoid relegation. Unfortunately I don’t see this being the week the tide changes.

Many of Tottenham’s best players went deep into the World Cup which may have contributed to a relatively slow start for a side that finished third in the League last season. They will be without midfielder Christian Eriksen due to injury, but likely replacement Erik Lamela can be just as dangerous in attack. The Spurs have shown recent glimpses of their best football and this looms as a statement game.

Suggest Bet: Tottenham Win To Nil @ $2.30*

Everton vs Fulham
29th September, 10pm WST

Goals! And plenty of them. That’s what I’m expecting when Fulham step out on to Goodison Park.

Everton failed to score last week against Arsenal but managed 10 shots (six on target) so the intent was there for all to see. Meanwhile Fulham will take some confidence from their midweek win (3-1) over Milwall in the EFL Cup.

The Toffee’s will be boosted by the return of Brazilian wunderkind Richarlison, who has scored three goals from his four appearances this season. Fulham are not without star power of their own with Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic netting five goals for the season – equal top in the League with Eden Hazard.

Suggest Bets: (1) Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals @ $1.91* (2) Richarlison Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.30* (3) Aleksandar Mitrovic Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.85*

Wolverhampton vs Southampton
29th September, 10pm WST

Newly promoted Wolverhampton have impressed so far sitting 10th on the table with two wins and three draws – two of those coming against the Manchester sides.

Southampton will welcome back striker Danny Ings who was forced to watch on as his side fell to Liverpool last week. The Saints are known to grind out results but have won just four of their past 31 Premier League matches and scored just 12 times in their last 15.

Wolverhampton haven’t lost at home in 13 matches and after a tough run of games start the year, expect this to be the fixture the Wolves announce themselves as a bona fide Premier League team.

Suggested Bet: Match Result Wolves @ $1.83*
