The Scout: EPL Matchday 18

Brighton vs Sheffield United

Brighton (13th) have taken five points from their last three matches, including a 2-1 away win over Arsenal which sees them five points clear of the relegation zone.

Sheffield United have been the dark horse team of this season. Sitting 7th, they have won two straight games and lost just once in their last 10.

Despite Sheffield’s strong record, they rarely keep clean sheets away from home. In their eight games on the road, six have seen both teams find the back of the net.

Both teams have scored in seven of Brighton’s last nine games while Sheffield have scored in their last four away games. I expect both trends to continue here.

Suggested Bet: Both Teams To Score @ $1.82*

Norwich City vs Wolverhampton

Despite last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Leicester, 19th placed Norwich are winless in four Premier League fixtures and look to have a real fight on their hands to avoid relegation.

Wolverhampton have climbed to 8th on the table, with their recent loss to Tottenham their first in 12 Premier League matches.

Carrow Road has been an exciting venue for football this season, with an average of 4.1 goals scored each game.

Although Norwich are not winning games they are still scoring goals. They’ve scored in each of their last five Premier League matches with Finnish striker Teemu Pukki converting in four of their last five.

Wolverhampton have kept just one clean sheet in their last nine Premier League matches, and I think Pukki looks the good to get one past them here.

Suggested Bet: Teemu Pukki Anytime Goalscorer @ $2.40*

Tottenham vs Chelsea

Jose Mourinho has Tottenham up to 5th on the table, just three points behind their opponents here. They’ve won four of their last five games and are looking every bit a top four side.

Chelsea on the other hand are trending down in a big way! They have lost four of five, including last weekend’s 1-0 disappointment at the hands of Bournemouth.

Under Mourinho, Tottenham have transformed their formation with Dele Alli playing central attacking midfield, Son and Lucas on the wings, and Kane as the sole striker. This attacking setup yielded 14 goals in five Premier League matches.

Chelsea however have struggled to score, with just four goals coming in their last five matches. The starting XI has been inconsistent with Frank Lampard still trying to figure out his best formation.

Confidence levels are at opposite ends of the spectrum for these two teams and I can’t see Chelsea turning things around against the white-hot Spurs.

Suggested Bet: Match Result Tottenham @ $2.35*
