The Scout: EPL Final Day Posted on May 9, 2019 | Posted by The Scout Liverpool vs Wolverhampton 12th May, 10pm WST It’s been a big week for Liverpool – and probably bigger for their fans! After advancing to the Champions League Final, their focus now turns to a must-win final day matchup with Wolves. Lose and they’ll finish second, win and they’re a chance at the title. Wolverhampton have had a great year in the Premier League. Regardless of the outcome here, they’ll finish the season in 7th spot – a fantastic result for a newly promoted side having their first season back in the top flight. Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Andrew Robertson are all in doubt, but this shouldn’t be of concern after the undermanned Reds’ 4-0 performance against Barcelona midweek. I expect them to attack with the same intent here as they showed against the Spanish Giants. Wolves on the other hand are healthy and undefeated in their last four Premier League games (three wins, one draw). Beating Liverpool is a tough task for any side and beating them at home is a different beast altogether. Suggested Bet: Match Result Liverpool & Over 2.5 Goals @ $1.83* Fulham vs Newcastle 12th May, 10pm WST It may appear like a classic “nothing game” but the 19th placed, soon to be relegated Fulham have been in great form to end the season. Before last week’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Wolves, they’d put together three straight wins without conceding a goal. Newcastle (14th) were huge (and hugely unlucky) last week, losing 3-2 to Liverpool. They’ve been safe from relegation for a while now, and after putting on a show last week for their home fans, it’s hard to know which Newcastle side will show up here with so little on the line. Fulham are looking extremely enticing in this fixture. Playing at home, they will want to give their fans some optimism heading into next season. Having only conceded one goal in their last four Premier League matches, Fulham’s defense is finally clicking. At the odds, they look one of the better bets of the final day. Suggested Bet: Match Result Fulham @ $2.40* Brighton vs Manchester City 12th May, 10pm WST THE biggest match of the final day of the season. Win, and Manchester City will be back to back Premier League champions. 17th placed Brighton have been flat-out awful in 2019 and are lucky to have avoided relegated. The Seagulls have not won a Premier League match in eight attempts, and have won just two in total since the start of January. Their lone win at home for 2019 was back on March 2nd and came against the league’s worst side in Huddersfield. Manchester City have won 13 Premier League matches in a row, conceding just three goals in that run. They have been clinical on the defensive end with four straight clean sheets, and it’s hard to expect any different against an opponent who have scored just twice in their last eight Premier League games. City have world class players at every position and are managed by one of the best football minds in the world, Pep Guardiola. I expect them to push for early goals, with the overall weight of possession seeing them win the Premier League in style. Suggested Bet: Manchester City to Win Both Halves @ $1.71 *Odds correct as at 11.30am WST 9th May 2019. Market Market
