Real Madrid vs Chelsea

There are some concerns upfront for Real Madrid entering the semi finals, with the Spanish giants uncharacteristically struggling for goals. Three of their last four matches (all competitions) have ended as nil-all draws and this could very easily be compounded here against a supremely organised Chelsea backline.

Chelsea’s defensive efforts under manager Thomas Tuchel have been nothing short of incredible, and 18 of their last 21 fixtures have seen less than three goals scored. The Blues are yet to lose an away fixture under their new manager, keeping seven clean sheets on the road in this time. All signs point to this being a low scoring affair

Paris St Germain vs Manchester City

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino’s offense is based on counter-attacking football, which has served the team well on the road, but has not translated as strongly at home. The French side have only won two of their five Champions League home games this season, going down 1-0 to Bayern Munich in the second leg of their quarter final matchup.

Manchester City are arguably the form team in all of Europe right now, winning 30 of their last 33 games across all competitions. They’ve already raised their first trophy of the season (EFL Cup) and have no issues playing on the road, scoring in eight of their last nine games away from home.
