The Scout: A-League Week 26 Posted on May 6, 2022May 6, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Adelaide United vs Western United Adelaide United (4th) are building perfectly towards the A-League finals having now won four matches in a row. They will be tested however by Western United (3rd) who are looking to get back to winning ways after two matches without maximum points. Adelaide are looking like the dark horse for the A-League title and have become increasingly difficult to break down. They’ve won their last three matches at home have not conceded a goal in their last three fixtures. Suggested Bet: Adelaide United to Win @ $2.33* Melbourne City vs Wellington Phoenix Melbourne City (1st) had a shock 2-0 loss to Perth Glory midweek and need a win here to secure top spot, while Wellington (6th) are locked in for finals after their 2-1 win over Western Sydney last matchday. It has been two straight poor performances now for City who have lost back-to-back matches for the first time this season. What was most shocking about these losses was their failure to score a goal both times, a trend I don’t expect to continue for (comfortably) to the top scoring team in the competition. Suggested Bet: Melbourne City Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.38* Brisbane Roar vs Sydney FC Brisbane Roar (11th) have no chance of playing finals this season and enter this match in terrible form, failing to win a match in six straight attempts. Sydney FC (8th) are also out of finals contention following their 3-2 loss to Adelaide. The Sky Blues have been one of the most inconsistent sides this season but at the top of their game, can mix it with any team in the league. Their best has seen them beating Central Coast 5-0 and Western United 3-0, and I think that upside gives them the edge here. Suggested Bet: Sydney FC to Win @ $2.35* *Odds correct as at 4pm, 6th May 2022. Market Market
