The Scout: A-League Grand Final Posted on May 27, 2022May 27, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Melbourne City vs Western United After a turbulent COVID-19 affected season, the A-League Grand Final has arrived with minor premiers Melbourne City hosting Western United. Melbourne City have been the best team all season finishing with 14 wins, seven draws and five losses, four points clear of Western United back in third. City’s biggest strength has been their blistering attack, allowing them to overpowering their opponents. Their 55 goals for the season was a league high, and notably 15 more than their opponent here. Western United, at times, looked unbeatable this season. A defense-first team, they hit a rough patch towards the end of the season, but will be full of confidence following their 4-1 away win over Melbourne United in the second leg of their semi-final match up. The road to the grand final was not as definitive for Melbourne City who needed extra time to get over a tough Adelaide United outfit. We didn’t see City’s best in the semi-finals, but at their peak they are unstoppable in this league. Jamie Maclaren led the league with 16 goals for the season, and I’m expecting his combination with Mathew Lecki and Andrew Nabbout to prove too much for Western United. Suggested Bet: Same Game Multi Melbourne City (Match Result) Melbourne City Over 2.5 Goals Total Odds: $3.55* *Odds correct as at 12pm, 27th May 2022. Market Market
