The Ascot Feature Rankings Posted on November 25, 2020November 25, 2020 | Posted by Digby Beacham WINTERBOTTOM STAKES – Nov 21 1 – TREKKING In a perfect world, would have drawn a bit lower than 11. That said, he’s hard to knock on what we have seen previously and at the trials this week. 2 – INDIAN PACIFIC The new kid on the block. Gets winkers and has been afforded a perfect barrier. 3 – STAGEMAN Doesn’t have his photo taken all that often, but is going particularly well. 4 – VALOUR ROAD Forget his most recent run. Lovely gate and gets back on top of the ground. A Group 3 winner two starts ago at WFA. 5 – CELEBRITY QUEEN Has a terrific turn of foot, yet there isn’t much of her and she has come up with an awkward gate. Respecting the stable. KINGSTON TOWN CLASSIC – Dec 5 1 – INSPIRATIONAL GIRL How can you not be in her corner after the Railway Stakes triumph? 2 – DOM TO SHOOT Thinking this bloke might be the best chance of the three-year-olds given the way he is going. Would love to see him draw low. 3 – KAY CEE Proven WFA performer. Prepared to forgive her plain Railway run. 4 – TOO CLOSE THE SUN Hard to see him turning the tables on Inspirational Girl from the Railway, but he makes his own luck. 5 – SNICKERDOODLEDANDY By settling on her, it isn’t anything against Watch Me Dance. Just feel she might be able to overcome a tricky gate should that arise. PERTH CUP – Jan 2 1 – TRULY GREAT His Railway run was full of merit. Will be a force once the distances increase. 2 – NEUFBOSC Airborne. A Perth Cup hopeful winning third-up over 1400m at Listed level is proof of that. 3 – TOO CLOSE THE SUN Lindsey Smith couldn’t have this bloke going any better. 4 – MISSILE LAUNCH Never a hope in the Railway. He will be a factor. 5 – TAXAGANO The zip is out of him now. He will come into his own as the distances increase. Market Market
