Chris Nelson’s Sunshine Coast Preview Posted on April 22, 2016April 22, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 2 No.8 Oradonna Terrific race this one tomorrow with three standout chances being Deconstructed, the unbeaten Elegant Composure and this very consistent mare from the Lindsay Gough stable. She really could have gone close to beating Elegant Composure last time out with clearer running at an earlier stage in the straight. With a 2kg weight turnaround and a better gate she’ll get her chance to gain revenge. RACE 5 No.2 Queen Of Wands Sydney filly from the Clarry Connors stable who has been given a slight freshen up since finishing off strongly in the Group 3 Carbine Club at Randwick on the first day of The Championships behind He’s Our Rokkii who has since gone on to win again (last Saturday) and is being touted as a Group 1 performer in the spring. Just looks too good for these. RACE 6 No.1 Sir Moments Class act of this field who returned to his best form with a last to first victory at Doomben a couple of weeks back. Suited by a solid tempo he was able to mow his rivals down late in the straight which suggests he’s looking for the longer trip now. 1600m tomorrow on the roomy Sunshine Coast track with the long run home fits perfectly.
