Scott Embry’s Wednesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on April 15, 2025April 15, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 MAIN ACT beat Blue Rocket convincingly first-up over 1200m, second-up sat rearwards in a race where they made no impression from the back of the field (and on a day where coming wide on straightening was near impossible) and then third-up went to a 60+ Graduation and finished third in a fast run 1200 behind Nobellity and Rapid Rock. Looks very winnable. SHOOT TO FAME won a C1 1400 this track/distance and then went to a Saturday when no match for flying filly Sixinch Heels. POLYVANOVA rolls to the top and controls. AMARLIME is racing like 1400 will suit. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – MAIN ACT WIN RACE 2 STATEWIDE ran a ripper on debut behind Capitola and King’s Court in the Initial Plate back in October and then first-up on a Saturday finished off into third behind undefeated Karrakatta bound filly Snizalatte and honest juvenile Hard Solo. Back to mid-week grade and can hopefully take advantage of the inside draw. PERFECT SISTER showed ability in her trial when only 1L behind Buon Amici and certainly wasn’t tested. BUON AMICI hails from a powerful 2 year old yard with Pike aboard. Commands respect. CALL ME INVINCIBLE also ran into Snitzalatte on debut. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – STATEWIDE WIN RACE 3 SHAMILIAN MISS ran home well on debut behind Awesome Boy and then was backed as if unbeatable last start when into as low as $1.55 late in betting. She could only manage third but closed off strongly from a long way off them. Will need a bit steer from another shocking barrier but out to 1600m looks a plus. KERMELIA didn’t get any luck last week and now has shades. ALITTLE SCOONER didn’t settle last start and got way too far out of his ground. JACKPOT BINGO has shown glimpses and gets out to a more suitable distance range. Numbers: 10 – 9 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – SHAMILIAN MISS WIN RACE 4 CARAWAY won her trial by nearly 2L and was only nabbed in the shadows of the post first-up by Tousled Crown. Has to be some level of reservation on that as a form reference given there was 1.5L between first and seventh in a blanket finish but from the barrier Lucy Fiore should be able to afford her every chance again. COUSIN MORTIMER really appreciates a step to 1400m. JEKYLL ISLAND was luckless on debut and then excellent second-up. ELEGANT INDI was winding up well enough fresh. Numbers: 12 – 2 – 4 – 13 Suggested Bet – CARAWAY WIN RACE 5 SNIPPY SEAN has returned in great order. Sectionally brilliant first-up behind dual subsequent winner Sixinch Heels and then was only beaten in the final stride by Lova Session who has since finished second in a Westspeed Platinum. Back to C1 company, drawn to get all the favours, looks a big winning chance. FAMOUS DAIN drops back into a C1 and gains the services of Pike. HIGHLAND FLAIR won his maiden well and the second horse has since bolted in to frank the form. UNIVERSAL HOTNESS can burn them off and roll. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – SNIPPY SEAN WIN RACE 6 REDBACK FLYER broke his maiden like a horse who would be going through the lower grades at 1600 – 2200m. Going straight into a C3 is good test for him but he looks a progressive 3 year old who can measure up here in a very evenly graded affair. Don’t think he needs to lead to win either. TRESPASSING was well supported in a Saturday 60+ Graduation last start and sneaks back into a C3. STARWALKER has put the writing on the wall with two solid runs at his return. PRINCESS IN RED is well placed and well weighted after the claim, however, 1200 to 1600m in one step is an ask. Numbers: 6 – 9 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – REDBACK FLYER WIN RACE 7 DATE WITHTHE DEVIL looks to get a gun run behind a strong tempo. Between Three Grand, Famous Dream and Ayumi they’re going to run along and that should allow Lucy Fiore to have him parked in behind ready to strike. Lightly raced and shown enough to win this fresh. MOHEGAN RULER made a big impression on debut as a 2 year old and then after two moderate trials he didn’t fire a shot first-up at Belmont and was immediately tipped out. Trial this time around much better. THREE GRAND made a strong WA debut. MOSQUITO a watch returning to the grass. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – DATE WITHTHE DEVIL WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2,4,10,12,13 2,3,4,5,9 2,5,6,9 2,5,8 Market Market
