Scott Embry’s Wednesday Esperance Preview Posted on December 24, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 LUNA ROSSA is screaming out for a maiden win. Nearly a good thing beaten at both starts since arriving in Esperance and if he can jump with them should finish over the top. TUCEPI and SALVARA the stable mates are both capable of breaking their maiden in the next few meets. RETURNING TO WIN could be a blow out. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 10 – 4 Suggested Bet – LUNA ROSSA WIN Race 2 WHISPERIT is possibly going to be left in the region by traveling trainer Dion Luciani but has been more than serviceable in recent maiden races. Looks to have enough toe to hold a position and go close. ROGER THE DODGER with shades on and back to 1100m can be the danger. STRATUM PASS has run some nice races in a short career. HOT next best. Numbers: 12 – 1 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – WHISPERIT WIN Race 3 NAZARETH has hit a purple patch of form and looks much more ‘genuine’ than recent preparations where he tends to put in a below par run out of nowhere. This race looks his. CLOAK AND DAGGER was woeful last start but is clearly better than that. CROWN CHOICE an improver with the right run. FOXY ROYALE never far away from the winner. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – NAZARETH WIN Race 4 AXEL FOLEY definitely comes from an alternative form reference being a Broome horse but he is a beautiful eye catching Chestnut with natural ability. SIGNIFICANT STREAK will pull one out soon and can’t be left out. TIP AND RUN should be fitter for this assignment. SHIRASCA gets in under the radar and can win. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 10 Suggested Bet – AXEL FOLEY WIN Race 5 UNIVERSAL MAE is one of the many horses who absolutely adore the Esperance track. This race is winnable, drawn a gate and has regular rider Autier aboard. Looks the one. MAKURU goes 10L better at Esperance than Kalgoorlie. Basically forget the entire last preparation. BARRY’S RABBIT was a huge run first-up. He could be a nice acquisition for the stable. NASHVILLE CAT finds this easier than the recent races. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – UNIVERSAL MAE WIN Race 6 SHADY GRAY was big first-up when winning and then run down along the inside by Badge of Courage who is no slouch. This is another nice race for him. WHERE’S WALLY is always short in the market for a horse yet to win outside 58+ grade since leaving the metro area. PENALTY POINT and RUSSIAN RIVER are usually fairly consistent but both maybe racing a touch below their best. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – SHADY GRAY WIN Race 7 THE CORNISH is two from two and this field is definitely no deeper than his most recent win. Naturally races from off the speed so the outside gate is not the end of the world. Nice animal. ROCKER CHICK will always find racing in WA tough due to her race pattern but she hits the line. SHOWY LADY brings some X-Factor to the race. SEALED WITH A KISS should really be a nice pick-up for this area. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – THE CORNISH WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3,10 2,4 1,3 8 Market Market
