Scott Embry’s Wednesday Bunbury Preview Posted on January 7, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 GUESTEEN backs up off 4 days from Saturday when running a strong third to Indian Pacific and Jenja. That looks wonderful form for a race of this nature and the step back to 1200 is also in her favour. Looks hard to beat. THE ITALIAN JOB was ripping ground off Weaponson on debut and a repeat of that effort sees him go very close. MONEY MATTERS back to 1200 is a slight query but racing well. DEVIL’S DUST draws well and trialed like a horse with ability. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – GUESTEEN WIN Race 2 WAR ANTHEM has promised to win a race his entire career. First-up effort was strong finishing third to Guesteen and Sweet Strawberry. That looks as strong form as any in this race and he gets yet another wonderful chance to break through. SEA WAIF was backed strongly late on debut and had absolutely no luck at all in transit after missing away. Troy Turner on, she improves lengths. OHBEEH will take running down if finding the top but looks likely to land outside of Sea Waif. PATY’S FORCAST can do things wrong but has a powerful turn off foot which will see her winning races sooner rather than later. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – WAR ANTHEM WIN Race 3 PULI is a big daughter of Dick Turpin who has an exaggerated action but looks to cover the ground well. Jade McNaught is likely to take her straight to the front and she looks like taking running down on debut. TIFF HAS SPOKEN has trialed like a horse who will be winning a maiden in the first few outings. Has settled off the speed in trials and exhibited a sustained turn of acceleration. RESORTMAN has shown above average ability at trials. Will need an ounce of luck from the alley. AGENT JAY was far from disgraced first-up and again draws well. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – PULI EACHWAY Race 4 SMOKING BARREL was luckless last start in a race where he arguably should have gone fairly close to winning. Steve Parnham is in white hot form and the minute and he looks capable of breaking through. ROYAL CHOISIR has a gear change, drops in grade, Pike on and ran well two starts ago. XAARMERIT could give trainer Jimmy Taylor his first staying winner of the 21st century if Chloe Azzopardi is able to control the speed and dictate terms out in front. ELLEVISTA next best off the back of a reasonable return. Numbers: 6 – 11 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – SMOKING BARREL WIN Race 5 BARRY’S CHOIX was certainly not knocked around at trials and could get under the guard to an extent. Always hard to sneak under the radar when hailing from the S.A Miller yard but both trials he finished off well and could run a race on debut. YAMATAI trailed well and had no luck at all on debut. Recent trial was soft. GINGER MACK is every chance of finding the fence and from there takes running down. WINNIE’S WINE finished off strongly last start. Numbers: 5 – 11 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – BARRY’S CHOIX EACHWAY Race 6 COCKY DODD was scratched last start with lameness which always presents an unknown at the following start and is a natural cause for concern but the first-up win was enormous and provided he leaves the gates on equal terms with the field should lead them up. KING OF CHAOS has shades added, drops in grade and returns to a track which has been his most successful. COCKATIEL has a big weight to lump but trialed soft. YOU AM I was luckless last start and draws to box seat. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – COCKY DODD WIN Race 7 DO A PATAKY has been hard in the market at most recent runs since a strong second placing to subsequent Saturday winner Sublime Image this track and distance four starts back. Was tested over the staying trip and looks to struggle. Last start back to 1800 was held up at several crucial stages and this race looks her for the taking. NOBLE KING comes from a particularly high rating C3 and drops in grade. Keep him safe and expecting market support. JADAVI has done nothing wrong his last two starts. AHYOKA FROST had nothing go right last start. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – DO A PATAKY WIN Race 8 HENTY GAL resumes off the back of a strong trial effort at Lark Hill. She’s a fairly natural back marker so the wide draw is off set by her race pattern and the Lane/Parnham combination is as good as it gets in the West. CAERHELAN comes from the same trial and was equally as good. Another horror draw but has a stack of ability. TINTO BELLE is coming up sharply in grade but draws well and has no weight. Hard to knock her turn of foot. DYNABELLE is taking all before her at the minute. Numbers: 10 – 11 – 13 – 5 Suggested Bet – HENTY GAL EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,5,7,11 1,2,3 3,8 2,3,4,5,10,11,13 Market Market
