Scott Embry’s Wednesday Bunbury Preview Posted on November 12, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BLOCK OF LAND could not have been more impressive on debut. Slowly away, eased out on a day which was heavily favoring leaders and was eating up the ground late. Big horse who should only improve out over further and looks awfully hard to beat. TOLLMAN has done absolutely nothing wrong at two career outings. SAVAQUIN trialed like he’ll need the full 1400. FLOAT OUR BOAT improved with the shades on but doesn’t wear them at race debut. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – BLOCK OF LAND WIN Race 2 SWEETASSA is the full sister to former gun sprinter Madassa. She has trialed professionally albeit over the 400m jump outs and on debut draws gate 1 to either lead or box seat behind the speedy Stella Door and take the cutaway. Either way should run a big race on debut. LONDON MISS ran well on debut and holds a position in the firing line. SAFE TO MAKEUP looks to have a nice turn of foot and trialed up well. STELLA DOOR was the target of incredible support first-up and stopped sharply late in the race. Numbers: 10 – 5 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet – SWEETASSA WIN Race 3 JOLLY ODD will get under the radar here and in a very weak race can give some cheek. No surprise to see Paul Harvey fire out to lead this field and she can run a ticky at a price ina weak, weak 2000m grind. SPECIAL IMAGE, BAFFLING and DREAMY ALICE all contested the same race behind Goldvein. There was less than a length between them on that occasion and they should be very similar quotes in the market but we all know that Baffling will be shorter care of W.Pike. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – JOLLY ODD PLACE Race 4 KITGUM comes from two extremely strong sectional races. First-up drew wide, got in after a gun ride early from Pateman, found a bit of traffic but still finished off well in a race run 4.5L faster than average. Went to a metro maiden and worked hard three deep the trip in a race 5.2L faster than average. Draws to box seat here with a cutaway and can give it a shake. SIGNIFICANT HERO likely settles three back the fence and shoots up the fence. PEARL DANCER comes across and runs his usual honest and tough race. IT’S THE FUZZ was not knocked around in a recent trial. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – KITGUM EACHWAY Race 5 LEVITATE is likely going to open in the red ~$1.60 and could well be the target of support at that short price. Awfully short for a maiden drawn gate 12 of 13 but the debut run was nothing short of brilliant. NEAT ACTION was big first up behind Validation and Zip Zam Zoom, beating home Megachino. Forgive last start when settling last on a leader dominated day. GIANT LEAP will be doing his best late. GRANMAGGIE worked hard in a recent trial and went well. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 11 – 12 Suggested Bet – LEVITATE WIN Race 6 NGAWI vs FA’LION MACHINE looks the race on paper. NGAWI could settle wide or go right back and is only a C1 but it’s still hard not to tip her. She’s dropping in grade from a C5 run over 5L faster than average and is better suited at 1200. FA’LION MACHINE trialed really well for her return to the races and then backed it up with a strong fourth in a 66+. Looks the logical danger. FROSTY BEVERAGE can settle on speed and improve back in trip. YOU AM I was big first-up but will need to be again. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – NGAWI WIN Race 7 FUHRER broke his maiden in style last start. Rolled to the top and that was the last they saw of him. Never easy to come from a maiden and win a C1 but his win was 4L above average and those sort of times suggest he’ll take a stack of running down here. MELTEME should box seat behind him and was a better run last start. DO A PATAKY gets back but has been finishing off strongly. COOL FROST can sit leader’s back or three back the fence and wait for the cutaway. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – FUHRER WIN Race 8 KIA ORA STAR really should be winning after knocking on the door all campaign. Held up at crucial stages two starts ago and then sat off the track when brave in defeat at his most recent. Box seat or three back the fence suits him with a cutaway and senior rider back on. NOT AGAIN KEN is the hardest horse in WA to catch but this looks a nice assignment for him. Can settle closer from the draw. ADRIAN MAKFI is first emergency but if he gets a start he’ll be right in the mix at a price. BEAT THE BELL may go back to last and ride for luck up the cutaway. Has a big turn of foot when given galloping room. Numbers: 3 – 10 – 13 – 12 Suggested Bet – KIA ORA STAR WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 6 1,2 1,5,6 3,5,9,10,11,12,13 Market Market
