Scott Embry’s Wednesday Belmont Preview Posted on August 14, 2018August 14, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview RACE 1 NIGHT VOYAGE loomed like the winner last start in a race which has created hot form. Dia De La Raza and Sharpbob subsequent winners. BOMBS AWAY has to have plenty of admirers because it has been a long time since he saw a race this weak. Stable is in hot form. CHINETTI would be very hard to run down if he finds the front. Perfect use of a 4kg claim. MISS SONDRIO should hit the line hard. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet: NIGHT VOYAGE WIN RACE 2 PAGAN IMAGE trialed well for her debut and was probably a shade unlucky at Northam to not finish closer to the place getters. Raced very green and did things wrong. LUCKY ESCAPE will be suited over further but can run a race fresh here without surprising. BLACK SHADOW has been trialing well over a long period of time and can play a part on debut. GOOD FORTUNE will break a maiden eventually when afforded the right run. Numbers: 11 – 2 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet: PAGAN IMAGE WIN RACE 3 MR GENOA looked like a very good type at trials and then had to dig deep on debut in a fast run race at Northam. When he hit top gear he really did accelerate impressively. KAKADU has hit a purple patch and there is no reason why he can’t win a couple on the bounce. STARALIGN was eye catching on debut and after scratching Saturday lobs into a more suitable race. ARGYLE MISS contested harder than this last campaign. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet: MR GENOA WIN RACE 4 SPIN ON COMMAND does her best work when allowed to roll in front. If she is ready to go fitness wise and races fresh without a trial she should race right over the speed and give a sight. YOUNG THOR was backed as if unbeatable and duly salted at Pinjarra. This is no harder. FAIR SONARI finds a more suitable race than he has seen so far this preparation. STARKLE is ever consistent and rarely out of the money. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet: SPIN ON COMMAND EACHWAY RACE 5 KIA ORA STAR was a big winner first up when given a standard weekly peach by William Pike. Dropping back from Saturday grade looks to have found a suitable race. WATIJADOO has to lead and roll. He’ll be trying to run them ragged from the front. ELSA’S TRIBE will get back and run on hard. FAIR FOOT will appreciate any rain that gets dropped. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet: KIA ORA STAR WIN RACE 6 MYSTERY AFFAIR bolted in as an odds on favourite last start and then the form has proven quite strong with Roll The Goodtimes winning and Frogotten running a big race. BURNING PRIDE resumed in Saturday grade and this race will be far easier. EVERYTHING’S SWEET is honest and consistent but just struggles to find that knockout blow. PRINCESS TARA was a marked drifter at Pinjarra but is better than what she showed. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet: MYSTERY AFFAIR WIN RACE 7 SUPREME FORCE flopped first up down the 1000m straight and then like many immediately redeemed herself when racing round the bend. Improving type, like her chances here. ROLL THE GOODTIMES won well when supported strongly in betting. Should get a nice run midfield. MOTORVATOR has a brilliant turn of foot when on song. KING BLITZ was strong when racing on speed and winning last start. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet: SUPREME FORCE WIN RACE 8 SATURIA went enormous first up on a heavily rain affected track. This is a huge class drop and if she jumps the gates and Tayla Stone positions outside the lead it couldbe curtains. ELECTRIC LIGHT will have a lot of punters on board. Nice filly who went well at her most recent crack at Saturday grade. SIGIL and ORANGE STRUDEL can both run races fresh resumimg. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet: SATURIA WIN Quaddie 2,3,4,6,8 1,2,3,5,6 1,7,9 1,4 Market Market
