Scott Embry’s Tuesday Geraldton Preview Posted on November 2, 2020November 2, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DENZOE was fairly one paced last start but from the draw should hold a very prominent spot in running. Looks like Enterprise will come across from the wide gate and Troy Turner can track the speed. The combination of Turner/Maley is powerful at Geraldton and the filly can go close. A STEAMY AFFAIR is a well related mare who ran well fresh and gets better with trip. ENTERPRISE comes up to a mile for the first time but should get across safely from the wide gate. GALMOURESQUE a value inclusion for novelties. Numbers: 12 – 7 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – DENZOE WIN RACE 2 MUDS TOO HARD finds a new home and joins Greg Criddle’s stable. Thinking that he’ll do her best work on pace so if Peta Edwards can roll forward from the draw and get a position close handy then he’s a live hope. Disappointing last start but showed ability as a youngster. INDISISIVE is a perennial place getter. Will break through eventually and this is another wonderful opportunity. FRIAR TUCK is a very similar type to Indisisive. HOWSIT an improver at odds. Numbers: 9 – 8 – 1 – 13 Suggested Bet – MUDS TOO HARD EACHWAY RACE 3 MAKFI AMOUR is a query at 1400m but should kick through to lead without having to absorb too much pressure. If Damien Miller wants to go with Ginger Willie then Ben Paterson can let him go and take the trail. Sean Rains team going super and he is well placed in C2 grade. WILLHEGO WEST has really come back a different horse. Will get back from the draw and might be caught deep but the turn of acceleration he is showing is undeniable. GINGER WILLIE consistent but lacks a killer blow. FAMILY DISCUSSION a good run last start and getting close. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – MAKFI AMOUR WIN RACE 4 MYCROFT is first-up at 1400m and likely to be on a short preparation before another tilt at the Geraldton Cup. He is one of the more talented types in the region and Troy Turner and Gordon Spowart are a great team. If he turns within 4L of the lead then he’ll take holding out. QUALITY FAIR might be a 10 year old but he is going super. Both runs so far this campaign have been great. TRADE TALK carries the entire Punters Paradise Utakarra Shed on his back but he doesn’t run bad races. DIAMOND TONIQUE made an encouraging return to racing. Numbers: 4 – 8 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – MYCROFT WIN RACE 5 BITOVEMU was huge last start when absolutely bolting in the middle stages and held up behind runners that were taking her nowhere. Once she got out she flashed late and third up she should be ready to peak. With clear air she looks the one. OLIVIA KNOWS is knocking on the door and typically John Reynolds horses get better and better into their campaigns. ENACTMENT got under the guard last start after performing well throughout the Carnarvon season. REBELLIONAIRE is hard to trust but his best is better than these. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 10 – 4 Suggested Bet – BITOVEMU WIN RACE 6 MEGADON was a good winner at Geraldton two starts ago and then was heavily commissioned in a tougher race last start at Northam. Ash Maley has him flying and he should prove hard to beat. WILD MEMORIES isn’t the easiest mare to ride so hopefully for Holly Watson she’s on her best behaviour. SALAMAAT is well placed into this grade and capable of carrying weight. SADLERS HILLS always runs well. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – MEGADON RACE 7 FETCH MORE AMMO was eye catching two starts ago in what has turned into arguably the best form reference of the season so far in Geraldton. Duly saluted last start and from the draw Hagley has options. Can be ridden to suit track conditions. THREE GENERATIONS always seems to bob up at odds and there is no reason why he can’t win this. STRONG HEART ran well fresh and should only improve second-up. TRULY GOLD didn’t fire 10 days ago but in a far tougher race than this. Numbers: 8 – 12 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – FETCH MORE AMMO WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,4,8 2,4,5,6,10 1,2,6,7,8,9 1,3,4,8,12 Market Market
