Scott Embry’s Tuesday Albany Preview Posted on March 16, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Race 1 FAITH IN RIKKI has run back to back minor placings since joining Bruce Watkins yard. Once he lead, once he sat and Jason Whiting can entertain either option from the inside draw. Looks another perfect opportunity to finally break through. PEGGIE’S JOY drops back in trip and comes out of tougher metro maiden assignments. Go back to the 11/1200m efforts earlier in the preparation and they’re strong. ABOARD has had absolutely no luck at any career run. GALAGA went alright first-up. Good luck to Damian Miller at his return to the saddle. Numbers: 8 – 9 – 11 – 5 Suggested Bet – FAITH IN RIKKI WIN Race 2 REQUISITION has had an interrupted preparation. First-up ran well at Mt Barker and then lost rider Lucy Warwick two starts ago, pulled William Pike’s arms out last start in a 0MWLY midweek race. Back to trials, back to country racing, can run a race. IBIZA is a 1000m short course specialist. Expecting Kristy Bennett to let her run. DEMERITISE draws to box seat and has been consistent since breaking maiden status. UNIVERSAL STAR has raced well for Paul Hunter. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – REQUISITION EACHWAY Race 3 NOBLE KING was a winner of a C3 race only three starts ago. His two runs since have been in C3 and 0MWLY grade and now he finds himself back in grade into a C2 at Albany. 1900m looks right up his alley and Jason Whiting has options from the gate. AMBER HIGHWAY is going well and always around the mark. DOC FRIAR is a big beneficiary of the extra trip with a transferred meeting. TOP AGENT a blow out with the shades going on. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 6 – 11 Suggested Bet – NOBLE KING WIN Race 4 DEANGLES was a very strong winner last start when sustaining a powerful burst down the outside to nab Danehill Storm and Big Summer. Stays in the same grade and this race looks no harder. CLASSIC ROGUE is only coming out of maiden grade but won with authority and Brodie Kirby elects to retain the ride. ATHLONE CASTLE has returned to racing well and just has to overcome a sticky alley. GOLD JUEL is one at a big price who could surprise a few. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – DEANGLES WIN Race 5 ABU DHABI and Laqdar Ramoly are the perfect duo. Has won two of his last three when finding the front and fending off all rivals. He can wobble around and runs off into the straight but Ramoly is riding him particularly well and he’ll take gunning down. OUR BUDDY BOY ran seriously strong early and midrace sections at Pinjarra last start, better suited in the Great Southern. BLIZZARD EXPRESS ran a ripper three starts ago when powering home late. RUN LIAM RUN has another win in his old legs before he heads to the well earnt retirement paddock. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – ABU DHABI WIN Race 6 COLD AS COLD was jumping out of the ground late last start behind Little Punga. Nice pick up ride for Jerry Noske and rom the gate if she can get cover midfield looks like being hard to hold out late. SAX ON QUE is mixing form at the minute but best is good enough to win. APOLLO lacks a killer blow but impossible to knock any of his recent form. REAL TARGET a novelty inclusion at a price. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 1 – 13 Suggested Bet – COLD AS COLD WIN Race 7 WAR KSAR is absolutely flying and the newly coined “Great Southern Cup” looks a lovely assignment for him. Interestingly Brodie Kirby jumps off to ride the stablemate Mr Pago and that means that Ryan Hill is the beneficiary. He is always a touch slow away so from the gate he only needs to step cleanly and he’ll land one out and four back midfield with cover ready to strike. CORPORATE LARRIKIN reunites with Kayla Cross and should ensure they get along at a genuine clip. BARRY’S RABBIT loses regular rider and best mate Kyra Yuill but Esperance Cup form has really held up and he draws well. DEFIANTLY can sustain a run and win. Numbers: 4 – 1 -2 – 5 Suggested Bet – WAR KSAR WIN Race 8 DYNABELLE is brilliantly placed into a c58+ race after being tested in town at 1200m. Has always been an 1100m horse and only two starts ago ran third in a Saturday 60+ graduation behind Transgressor (c70+ winner) and Ay Tee Emm. Can sit over a solid tempo and after scratchings comes into gate 3 and looks hard to beat. MOLLY TWOHUNDRED is a fresh horse but ideally a Mt Barker horse. Can still win but confidence dwindles with a meeting transfer. SCOTTY TOO HOTTY will look to jump and run with no weight. NORSKE CODE fresh can go well. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 12 – 8 Suggested Bet – DYNABELLE WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 3,4,6,8 1,6,7 1,2,3,4,5,9 2,5 Market Market
