Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on January 4, 2023January 4, 2023 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 GOD’S WRATH has had two starts down the 1000m straight at Pinjarra and finished second on both occasions to Magnalee and to Cut The Talk. Should jump and find the outside fence and from there he gets another great chance to pick up a maiden. MAGNIFICENT CARAT has shown speed in each and every trial. Likely to come out positive and head across towards the outside and park close to God’s Wrath. Not much between them. BERBERE was only in a 3 horse 400m jump out but he looked to get better and better into the trial. Interesting to see him heading straight to the races. CHIPOLARTIE has trialled well enough. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – GOD’S WRATH WIN RACE 2 NORTHEAST EAGLE and SANAA both come through the same race at Belmont Park behind Musqueam and Dun With The Blues. Both were good runs, Saana didn’t get out until the race was all over and attacked the line full of running and Northeast Eagle was parked three deep throughout and battled on bravely. Going to side up with NORTHEAST EAGLE who has put together two big runs for Annie King and Alan Kennedy jumps aboard at the ideal time. SANAA looks his danger after showing a good turn of foot late in the same race. CAMPFIRE JACK caught the eye late at Pinjarra Park last Saturday when running right through the line. JE MAPPELLE BELLE wasn’t too bad behind a nice one in Zooropa. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – NORTHEAST EAGLE WIN RACE 3 RENATO is double accepted for Wednesday at Belmont in a C1 and Thursday at Pinjarra in a maiden. If they elect to scratch from Wednesday and save for the maiden then he’ll be hard to beat off his luckless first-up third behind Work In Progress and impressive subsequent maiden winner Pennie’s Galore. KING’S WENCH however looks the one if Renato doesn’t start in this. The second splitting Costazita and Lieutenant Dunbar is excellent form for a maiden. SECRET ATTIRE and OCEAN QUEEN make their respective debuts for the Peters Investments operation. SECRET ATTIRE trialled well behind Ruler Rocket and OCEAN QUEEN didn’t get much room to move late in her trial. Numbers: (1) – 3 – 8 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – RENATO WIN IF STARTING RACE 4 BOOTS LIKE BRUCE was on debut as a 5 year old when parking up outside of The Big One and getting away from him to score an impressive debut victory off the back of a hot trial effort. From barrier 1 Alan Kennedy can sit on the back of likely leader and main danger Runforrob and with the long straight at Pinjarra Scarpside he has time to push his way into the clear and remain undefeated. RUNFORROB trialled well and lead throughout on debut to score a strong win. Likely to roll along again. BAKE SOME MAYBES has trialled up well for her return to the races. FEARLESS TALK has been kept fresh since her maiden win. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – BOOTS LIKE BRUCE WIN RACE 5 LET THEM ALL TALK is knocking on the door desperate to win a race. Runner up behind Wozzeck four starts ago, luckless three starts ago, runner up behind Argent Sauvage two starts ago and runner up behind Lucky’s Way last start, beating home the handy Eee Pee Cee in the process. On the 7 day back-up here he can kick through to hold the top and gets his chance. GOLD FRIARS chased hard at his return to racing and to the grass behind Runforrob and we get a good sighter into the quality of that form in Race 4. DENZOE likely parks up outside of the stablemate. ALLWORKANDNOPLAY is progressing nicely. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – LET THEM ALL TALK WIN RACE 6 RULELEE won like a mare who had plenty more in store. Was hammered in betting and was parked three deep throughout with 58kg when holding off the late challenge of Saturn Black and Without Reg (races Wednesday at Belmont). Blinkers certainly had an effect on her and from the draw Kyra Yuill (who has ridden her to victory previously) can have her midfield with cover and unleashing late. COLD SHIZZLE has had a long searching preparation (15th run) but continues to run well. Looks a nice race for him. CAPTAIN SHARMANE has been a revelation for Takahide Ikenushi. DASH DOLL is a nice mare who goes well fresh. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – RULELEE WIN RACE 7 CALL ME VIOLET is extremely well placed by the astute operation of Grant & Alana Williams. She won with 57kg in a 3 year old 0MWLY 1600 at Ascot last start and remarkably drops 1kg taking on C3 opposition at the same distance. If Pat Carbery can get her into a postion in the moving line with cover she’ll be hard to hold out late. PASSION PRINCE has blinkers applied and steps straight up in distance after racing fairly one paced fresh. HOT BLOODED like all of Lou Luciani’s is going very well. MAGICAL GEM can sit close handy and give a sight. Numbers: 6 – 3 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – CALL ME VIOLET WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1 1,2,3,6 3,4,5,6,7 1,3,6,7 Market Market
