Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on January 5, 2022January 6, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 RAKIURA ran well on debut down the straight when finishing third behind Belle Power and Al Tina. Al Tina has since run second in a maiden and drawn the outside means that Troy Turner should be able to have her in front and against the outside rail. Best position to be. HEAVENLY MISS ran third on debut behind State of Power and Via Monte as a 2 year old. Resumes without a trial. Watch the market. FACTORY MADE finished third behind Oh Sophia and subsequent winner Le Grand Amour on debut. Good enough form for this. LUCKY LANDING has been improving in each and every trial. Numbers: 6 – 5 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – RAKIURA WIN RACE 2 NURHACI was originally withdrawn from this race before being reinstated late as the field fell away. Won a 70+ at Albany before winning a 70+ at Geraldton. The most recent win at Geraldton was really strong and with Quality Fair and Jupiter Rising both winning since it stands out as the best form. Drawn the ‘wrong side’ so he will need to come out fast and do it at both ends. AGENT KENSINGTON is a model of consistency as is stablemate BEDOUIN BELLE. They both ran well below their best last start and can both bounce back here. JANAURA should be able to hug the outside rail and lead for a long way. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – NURHACI WIN RACE 3 MIDNIGHT MYSTERY looked to have found her race last start and punters launched. She was backed hard throughout betting, all the way into odds on. Unfortunately, nothing went right and she was left out deep working as the leader got it cheap and turned it into a sit and sprint affair. Gets another go in an equally weak maiden. LE GRAND JEU is racing quite one paced at the moment but should get every opportunity here. PRIVATE SCENE hasn’t been seen for a month but from the inside draw either leads or box seats. PEPPI GROVE was good two starts back. No luck on Monday. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – MIDNIGHT MYSTERY WIN RACE 4 HART TRADER has been racing well without muck luck recently. Has raced wide the trip at three of her last four. After Beaux Edwards claim she gets with only 52.5kg and from the gate she should get a nice run. Shown enough ability and goes round an eachway quote. FINE ROMANCE is beyond testing patience now. Punters who have been backing her have been burnt every time and many others like myself continue to fall for her. Beaten $1.25, $1.55 and $1.40 last three starts. She’ll win one very soon but while she’s going round odds on she can go in for second. LAUTRE hit the line really well last start. If he reproduces, he’ll be there abouts. THE GOLDEN ONE wasn’t too bad on debut. Numbers: 6 – 5 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – HART TRADER EACHWAY RACE 5 SEMBELLO has been knocking on the door ever since she arrived in Western Australia. She can roll to the top and Ben Kennedy seems to get the best out of horses in the final furlong. She’s no star but she deserves to pick up one of these staying maidens. ALLEGIANCE got going late last start. Troy Turner rides these staying races well and it would be no surprise to see her put into the race. MISS RONA will keep coming. In consistent form for the last month now. NORTHEAST EAGLE looks like he will stay all day. Numbers: 7 – 8 – 9 – 6 Suggested Bet – SEMBELLO WIN RACE 6 BUTTERFLY HOUSE had two starts in her initial preparation. Dominant win on debut at odds when beating subsequent winners Millivoy, My Marlaina and Dance Session and then was very stiff not to win at start number two when unable to reel in Famous Jurney in the final strides. Fresh, no trial, drawn the right part of the straight five course and horses running for Shaun O’Donnell down the straight. Ticks plenty of boxes. CANTO DE GUERRA comes back to 1000m and will probably settle in front against the outside fence. That makes him the hardest to beat. IMPURDENT is rarely far from the action, just lacks a killer instinct. HELL RAIDER an improver right back to 1000m. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – BUTTERFLY HOUSE WIN RACE 7 PRIZED MISS resumed off a 315 day absence when finishing fifth behind Jadavi. Hit the line well enough and should be improving rapidly into the campaign. William Pike sticks, she is drawn in barrier 2 to settle at least one or two pairs closer in the run and looks hard to beat. Likely to be very popular. COMALILBITCLOSER got going late two starts ago in a C1 and then went around favourite 7 days later. Looks ready to pinch one and is drawn to get every chance. JAY DEE finally broke through last start after being ridden for speed. Logic says they’ll do the same here. FREO has a big weight but his return to racing was sound. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – PRIZED MISS WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 4,5,6 6,7,8,9 6,7 1,4,5,7 Market Market
