Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on August 7, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ADELAIDE ACE was a really nice trial in May when almost knocked over coming into the home straight and flashing late. Was able to walk them in a recent Lark Hill trial and looked to have plenty in hand. NAUGHTY BY NATURE was scratched to save for this and considering how slowly they were going finished off well in the same trial. BABY BLUES was big last start after finding trouble behind a faller. STAADEN can lead for a long way. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – ADELAIDE ACE WIN Race 2 NICKEL QUEEN was unable to reel in the leader first-up at 1100m but down the straight can come out running and recent there has not been a huge bias either way. Should be hard to beat. THE BEACH can cross them to find the outside fence and that’s historically the place to be. PROCONSENT won well on debut after being well supported late in betting. RECONDITION went round at cricket score odds but was jumping all over them late when winning. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – NICKEL QUEEN WIN Race 3 BELLE OF LIBERTY is one of many, many Durrant trailers recently but showed a seriously good level of ability. If she can jump cleanly and take a position up on the speed against the outside fence she’ll take beating. DRAGONFLIES is the obvious danger and comes from a fast run 1000m C1. They look the two. TOVARICH and THE FINEST have shown recently there isn’t much between them. Numbers: 14 – 4 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – BELLE OF LIBERTY WIN Race 4 CRICKET INDA HOUSE is a 20-start maiden but this is probably one of his more suitable assignments over the time. His last three or four efforts have all been good enough to win this and he gets his chance. ERISTIC has been beaten in the shadows twice and put up the white flag twice in four runs so far this campaign. Best is good enough. WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIN continues to race well finishing midfield. NORD AVENIR hit the line well at his WA debut. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – CRICKET INDA HOUSE EACHWAY Race 5 MISS MANDY comes from the same race as Fair Glory and that looks to be the form reference behind Tramontaine. She could even spring to the lead and will take running down. FAIR GLORY caught the eye on debut after being tailed off. Hit the line hard through the pack and will get to the outside on a rain affected track. MANHATTAN MONEY continues to open up short for a mare who is yet to prove she is above the average maiden. No excuse from the draw. INDIAN CHANT didn’t quite run up to expectations first-up but it could turn into a handy form reference race. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – MISS MANDY EACHWAY Race 6 BLOOM AWAY has put the writing on the wall with two very good efforts. Kirby jumps off perennial maiden Designer Prince to retain the ride and from the draw he is likely to roll forward. DESIGNER PRINCE continues to get close without troubling the scorers. KEBALAH was well backed last start and ran a cheeky race when unleashed at the 1200 by Pike. QUEEN KARNILLA has shown staying ability in the past but first-up at the trip is a big ask. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – BLOOM AWAY WIN Race 7 EARLY EXPLORER is clearly the most talented horse in this field. Was sent to the front mid race last start when they were walking and then ended up a sitting duck in the worst part of the track. Forgiving. RICH TURF took a long time to break her maiden status but maybe the penny has now dropped. Was able to burst away from a moderate bunch last start and should get a similar run in transit. FIRESALE should get a nice run midfield with cover. MICHELLE MA BELLE leads without challenge. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – EARLY EXPLORER WIN Race 8 I’M ICEY ran into the very talented Uni Time two starts ago in a race which contained Next Stop the Moon as well. Last start was able to work to the top and skip clear for an emphatic win. Gets another nice chance to lead and win here. LUCKY LINDA LULU seems to wobble around the bend and lose momentum. Her last five have all been good enough to win. STORMY RULER is consistent and rarely far from the winner. CRISTAL DANE has disappointed this preparation. She is better than what she’s showing. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – I’M ICEY WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,4,7,8 1,6 1 1,2,3,5,11 Market Market
