Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Park Preview Posted on March 12, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SHUWISH is perfectly placed into a weak Class 1 event where it looks on paper like William Pike’s first ride back in WA and only ride at Pinjarra will be a winner. Likely to open nearly odds on but should win this. DOUBLE THE PRO has been a bit disappointing so far this preparation. Some of his 3 year old form was definitely stronger than he is showing. SAXY FILLY ran a big race two starts ago, could be the blow out. RED HOT FLIRT could surprise a few. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – SHUWISH WIN Race 2 WAKAN TANKA is a 12 start maiden who has far superior form to rivals. Always hard to jump into one who has had double figure attempts to crack it but many of them are in open 2 and 3 year old events. Drawn the right side and has speed. OVER THERE was an impressive recent trial winner and some of the form from last preparation stacks up in a race which is not overly strong. RIBBON OF GOLD was scratched from a winnable race to be saved for this. SIMONELLY is dual placed down the straight which makes her a blow out chance. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – WAKAN TANKA WIN Race 3 SUMMER’S SKYE beat a field with far more ability and depth than what she meets here. Summer Dickson has her going well and this looks like sending her towards a Saturday graduation staying race. STAFFORD’S LAD backs up from Saturday and off the quick turn around appears to be the danger. HAY MAGIC has been out of the winner’s circle a long time but racing consistently. REGENT STAR will stick the trip. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – SUMMER’S SKYE WIN Race 4 DIME A DECOY has come back well this preparation and gives her young trainer a wonderful opportunity to train her first race to race double. The Class 1 fields don’t get a whole lot smaller or weaker than this and she looks hard to beat. WORLD IS YOURS improved quickly first-up to second-up and looks a big danger. DALGARANGA is better suited back in trip and comes out of a fast run 1800. JACKA’S MOB will win races this preparation allowed to roll out in front. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – DIME A DECOY WIN Race 5 FIRESALE went very close last start and from the gate Pateman can either elect to lead them up or take a sit. Should get every chance and on his home track another positive. EARLY EXPLORER looks a big strong type who won well at the Belmont trials. Was paddling late but ran reasonable time. DIGNITY BAY ran some big races last campaign, especially fresh. Blinkers on, can win. WILD GUST gets one of her final chances. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – FIRESALE WIN Race 6 INDIAN CHANT was backed as if unbeatable last start after two massive runs. One behind Minika and Speedy Miss and then the other behind Rebel Knight and Lakeview and Star. Not sure what went wrong last start but willing to forgive. CITY CIRCLE was scratched behind the gates last week. First-up run was strong behind Bedouin Belle and Fair Joy who have both won since. PARIS GIRL trialed well and flopped on debut. Another good trial for her return. RAW ENERGY ran around in his trial but kept coming. Numbers: 4 – 12 – 14 – 7 Suggested Bet – INDIAN CHANT WIN Race 7 LAVISTARR was well backed first-up and with all due respect really didn’t give yelp. Trialed like a horse who would be winning races early in the preparation but also like a filly who will appreciate a trip. Gets that here. STABLE GENUIS almost stole it last start when some astute punters took the AB price. If he reproduces he goes very close. DOC FRIAR looks like heshe will grind away all day and can position midfield. SPIRITED SNITZEL has had 20+ chances to win but this is not a deep race at all. Numbers: 12 – 7 – 13 – 3 Suggested Bet – LAVISTARR WIN Race 8 THE HONEYMAN may have been dealt the perfect draw. Wide open maiden event and he will be a big price. Still very green, still very raw and doesn’t have a lot of natural speed. If he can wind up three deep into the corner he has been going better than it reads on paper. FETCH MORE AMMO was a replay watcher’s delight. He can definitely win this after finding dead ends everywhere he went. DIVINE QUEST has good enough race and trial form to be winning this. VEEBEE looks like rolling forward to take care of the speed and was brave last start. Numbers: 6 – 9 – 13 – 5 Suggested Bet – THE HONEYMAN EACHWAY Race 9 SATURIA ran a nice race two starts ago in a 64+ 1000m race down the straight behind Captain Stirling, Dam Ready and Night Voyage when they almost broke the track record. Then tried to chase Fabergino and got gassed. Can bounce back. JUST A FLUKE returned to the winner’s circle last start and goes well down the straight. ARAFURA is drawn the right side but will need to weave through some traffic. MOLTEN has a huge weight but suited this class. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – SATURIA EACHWAY Quad (Race 6 – 9) 4,12 3,12 1,2,5,6,9,12,13 1,2,3,4,7 Market Market
