Scott Embry’s Thursday Narrogin Preview Posted on November 25, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 MILITARY BEAT has improved sharply at her last two outings. Ran a solid third at York behind Ready to Ride and Blue Eyed Girl before finishing a close up fifth beaten only 2.5L behind Speed Dream, Spirited Session, English Heritage and some handy trailers. Draws a gate, backs up off 7 days and should go close to breaking her duck. ETHICAL SECRET does a fair bit wrong but Jason Whiting rides these tight tracks like York and Narrogin better than anyone else. MUSKET MISS was specked at a big price last start in the same race as Ethical Secret and was strong. FOR OUR NIC comes from a hot form reference race. Keep safe. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – MILITARY BEAT WIN RACE 2 CAN’T HELP MYSELF gets his chance to lead and win back to 930m. Ran a handy third last start behind two horses who have subsequently been the target of enormous money in Ghost Who Walks and Spirited Session. Prior to that comes from the Life For a Life, Iron Sharp, Western Empire form race. Looks well placed here and ready to win. ITS TIFFS can make things interesting at a price considering the blistering speed she showed last start. BLUE EYED GIRL has the shades added but is drawn sticky. NEUROLOGIC returns as a 3 year old filly. Did jump a pronounced favourite on debut as a 2 year old in what has turned into a quality form race. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – CAN’T HELP MYSELF WIN RACE 3 TIME TO TRADE has been a hard horse to follow throughout his career because he shows glimpses of brilliance scattered amongst some shockers. He showed last start in a C3 what he is capable of when leading them past the 100 before being run down by talented duo Cockyjoy and Dew West. The outside gate hurts but if Keshaw Dhurun can get him across to the breeze he can win, if he crosses it could be game over. BOYISH is speedy but goes up sharply in weight to 59.5kg. If he does jump Simone Altieri won’t hand up. SECRET ASSAULT is a veteran of 9 years and has always been handy at Narrogin. MISS MERIT needs to leave cleanly otherwise it’ll be a tough steer. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – TIME TO TRADE WIN RACE 4 SHAKE THE BLOOM is having her third start for the Jeremy Easthope stable after leaving Adam Durrant. Last start ran a solid third (albeit beaten 4.5L) in a far stronger race than this behind Great Waters and Hip Wiggle. Broke her maiden over 1720 at Narrogin last preparation and if Victoria Corver can have her in the first four in running she’ll be going close. DYNAMIC FORCE backs up again after being off 7 days last Wednesday. Seems to be slowly but surely improving. RIO ROGUE draws the inside gate to stalk the leaders. BRAVE CONTENDER is now deep into the preparation and while he is again brilliantly placed he needs an ounce of luck from a sticky draw. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – SHAKE THE BLOOM WIN RACE 5 FOO TROUBLE looks very well placed into 52+ grade. Last preparation won back to back races in C1 and C3 grade before a close third behind Rewrite The Stars and Bel My Pago in a C5. First-up this campaign ran second to Oristano before being competitive in C3 and C5 recently. 1190m looks about perfect, proven weight carrier and should find the front. They all have to run him down. ORANGE STRUDEL will stalk his every move like she did last start behind Lies N Deception. This leader is arguably more talented so it’ll be interesting to see if she can run him down. TRIPLE EVENT won well at Narrogin last preparation. FOXY ROYALE is always a chance in this grade. Perfect use of the claiming apprentice. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – FOO TROUBLE WIN RACE 6 SPORTY SPICE has run three consistent races since joining the stables of Paige Kenney. Hannah Fitzgerald brings the weight down to 55.5kg and so she is dropping 3kg staying in the same grade from her minor placed effort to Alluring. First-up she ran second behind Lies N Deception, beating home Massa Mac so that puts her right in the race here. MASSA MAC wasn’t a bad run last start and is extremely well suited back into 46+ grade. EVOLUTIONIST loomed like the winner at Barker before he hit a fat brick wall. DOLLY EM needs to cross to the fence but if she does gives real cheek. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – SPORTY SPICE EACHWAY RACE 7 RAYARNIE looks ready to win third up. Wasn’t a bad effort first-up at 1675 when running fourth behind Lyles Choice, Blaiszen Cazah and Bollinger Boy before beating beaten a long way last start. Is a C3 2200m winner so you would think that a 46+ at 1900 will see him going close. If he leaves cleanly then Jordan Turner can breeze or even find the top. KRAKKAS just needs further. Gets an extra 100m and Pateman which helps but still will need every inch of this. Rusty Stewart has them flying so keep him in mind. HARD TOO CEE has won 1 race in 50 odd starts but is going very well. AHYOKA FROST looked to have found her race last start but was then completely luckless. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – RAYARNIE WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,5,6,7 1,5 FIELD 3,4,5,8 Market Market
