Scott Embry’s Thursday Bunbury Preview Posted on August 19, 2025August 19, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 BELLA VIOLETTA is getting closer and these 1800m Fibre Sand maidens don’t get much weaker. They were rolling last week in the 1675m maiden on the grass (first 1075m run 17L faster than maiden average) and they were out on their feet late. 7 days later she’s back to the Fibre Sand and should be going close to breaking through. INTO THE FUTURE is 1200m to 1800m second-up but has clearly the best race form behind Saam Time Lucky, Take The Field and Playing Free first-up. RIBELLATO was in the 2000m maiden last week and was beaten 6L behind Alnaud and Begaafd. RIGHTY OH has shades coming off and steps up aggressively in trip. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – BELLA VIOLETTA WIN RACE 2 LEAFICE travelled really well in her first race start but then got a bit unbalanced on straightening and could only manage a near 5L defeat behind Think Pink Daze and Just Walter John. Finds a 1275m Fibre Sand maiden and being trained locally you’d think that puts her in good stead? TASSORT WE WANT has had the run on the surface when third behind Girls Day Out. Kept whacking away. KENTUCKY DRIVE did run second to Champange Crusader two back and that galloper is on show at Pinjarra on Wednesday as is Crows who beat her home last start. MANDIBLE MAGIC could be an improver if leading. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – LEAFICE WIN RACE 3 ONE PUNCH won by 4L over 1500m in a C1 on the Fibre Sand and then was held tight for a portion of the early parts of the home straight when Hes Archie had a full head of steam down the middle of the track. Expecting he can bounce back. THREE GRAND took full advantage of the highly on speed nature of the Pinjarra course last week and was well supported at double figures late according to the track pattern. Straight to the top but will she run 1500? ELBOW LOUNGE was a huge improver last start. Great to see him bounce back. ODIN OMEN is a last start winner on the dirt at Carnarvon. Any parallel to Fibre Sand? Numbers: 2 – 4 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – ONE PUNCH WIN RACE 4 NISTIRITH ran fourth behind now C1 winner Riva Aquarama on debut and then was only run down in the final stride by Circus Angel after looking the winner this track/distance last start. Should again be able to cross and find the top and if doing so is logically the one to beat. BAGGER PRINCE covered the Fibre Sand well but is a big unit and not sure back to 950m helps him? CALL NICK has speed and that will put him into the mix. EXTREME RULER will likely park out deep and keep coming. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – NISTIRITH WIN RACE 5 PRODUCTIVE was an eye catching return to racing first-up behind My Authoritah who is now a 3 year old Plate winner at Belmont Park. The form speaks for itself and he doesn’t need to get as far back, considering he sat in the breeze at 1200m on debut. Looks a great race for him. ABSTRACTED is drawn to box seat and we’re starting to see a few more horses go well from that position after thinking early doors it was poison. BRED NOT BROUGHT did run third to Black Ora and Just Gifted in a 3 year old 0MW at Pinjarra in April. SHIMARI might want a touch further but can be put into the race. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – PRODUCTIVE WIN RACE 6 AMAMUS has only really shown anything at one single run in his career – over 1500m on the Fibre Sand when kicking clear to win by an extending 1L margin. He’s on the 7 day back-up after running into a far better line-up than what he meets here and that’s probably enough to suggest he can win this at an eachway price. GLOBAL TRIP is loving Fibre Sand life but is up 525m in trip aggressively. Will he run the trip? LET SPARKS FLY seems to love a wet track. Fibre Sand unknown. SALARY MAN has put together two encouraging runs for new trainer Mack Hall. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – AMAMUS WIN RACE 7 OUTSPOKEN LAD won two races last preparation: C5 1600 at Northam & C5 2000 at Ascot. So far this campaign he’s only raced in Saturday company and he’s struck a wet track at his last three and not looked that comfortable. 1.25L off Lindens Gold & On Patrol is easily good enough to win this. See where he’s at now. KERMAN ROCK would be an interesting watch if they set him alight. CANNY JACK has turned back the clock – he’s flying – but will he run out 2000m? COVENTRY REEF a big winner this track/distance last start. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – OUTSPOKEN LAD WIN Market Market
