Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 19, 2025December 19, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 THE NUN made an auspicious debut at Ascot when parking close handy to a solid tempo and letting go with an impressive turn of foot late. She was given a decent push post race by both trainer and rider and this looks a nice stepping stone for her into better races. For a C1 it has some depth but she should get a near identical run in transit. SUPIDO EXPRESS was scratched from a winnable race on Wednesday to save for this and given the small field and the better barrier it looks a wise decision from Mitch Pateman. Knocking on the door and deserves to win one. CANNYKEV broke his maiden in a C1 but he might be a 1000m horse? SWIFT STREAKER was luckless at his return. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – THE NUN WIN RACE 2 OISIN looks ready for a staying test and these 50+ races are ideal for him. He’s a one paced, grinding type so the fact that SJ Miller has left a senior rider on is clearly a positive, and the Seven Candles form should prove to be the best form line in this race. He’s run a few narrow seconds in his life, time to break through and win one. VANCOUVER STORM is better suited in a smaller field because now he can have a couple behind him and only concede the leaders a few lengths rather than having to circle a near capacity line-up. MODELISTIC is the type of mare suited to a mid-race move and should nearly be fit enough to pull the trigger. BELLE JOURNEE is starting to prove herself a stayer and that gives Team Stelmach more options with her. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – OISIN WIN RACE 3 JOYOH has now put together three encouraging runs from the back of the field and looks to have found the weakest race of her career to date. Love the way she got to the line behind Aitch Montana in a leader dominated event. Gets her chance. WILD THINGS was kept safe in betting first-up when beaten 4L by Flash Dancer and Cannykev as a $7 chance and then second-up went to a 3 year old 0MWLY and finished off well into third behind Refemme No Angel. There has to be a query on that as a form line when you watch other subsequent efforts including those of Parnham pair Pemberton and Cawarra? FIELD MISTRESS goes from a 3kg claimer to winkers and Pike. MR KARADEC hit the lien well on debut. Numbers: 8 – 10 – 11 – 4 Suggested Bet – JOYOH WIN RACE 4 LET’S GO JARPO was a 6 year old on debut and put in a ripper behind Great Promise when parking wide throughout and sustaining a big run into minor money. Again drawn off the track so will need some luck or a big ride from Keshaw but it was an impressive (albeit delayed) start to his career. BRADBURY’S MOMENT was beaten under 2L in the same race and that was after drawing wide and enduring an awkward run in transit. Solid effort and draws far better than Let’s Go Jarpo this time around. THE SCHOLAR was backed as if unbeatable on debut at Northam back in July but didn’t fire a shot. First-up, no trial, big market watch. AJICITO makes her debut off the back of a Lark Hill trial win and the fact that Jason Miller books Pike is an indicator that she has ability. Stable can produce one on debut. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet – LET’S GO JARPO EACHWAY RACE 5 DREAM STAR kept whacking away behind Aitch Montana and gave the impression she wanted further. Gets it here and maps a treat again and while she’s the up and comer with the most upside, just wary she could go around artificially short? PARISH PRINCE got too far out of his ground first-up at Bunbury and then didn’t get much luck either when finishing nearly 4L adrift of Take A Leaf. Second-up was well supported in early markets and finished a narrow second to Lady Kiki. ARPIONE didn’t beat one home on debut and then was jumping out of the ground late at his second start behind Awesome Force. Polar opposite runs but trust him off the most recent and he’s the one to beat? AZABELLE went around in a C1 last start and beat a few home. Numbers: 11 – 1 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – DREAM STAR WIN RACE 6 SHAMILIAN MISS hasn’t quite lived up to expectation so far (vs her SP profile). Her first-up run was outstanding when three deep the trip and only beaten narrowly late by progressive SW mare Galway Shawl. Second-up beaten at $2.50 with minor excuses, third-up beaten at $5 in a messy run race. Time to go out and win one. LADY DUCATI won well in a 58+ at Albany last start and she’s actually led races on the Fibre Sand previously so can use that barrier to advantage. Returned in good order. BEAU TALK drops back in grade after a pair of Graduation runs that have each had some level of merit. ROUNDABOUT GLORY has shades coming off and a senior going on. Building. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – SHAMILIAN MISS WIN RACE 7 CANTRIX was an alarming drifter first-up, although realistically everything was with the sheer volume of money for Hurricane Harley, and ran third behind Ma Ma Belle who caused the upset. She’s lightly raced, she’s got versatility and she’s got a handy future around the provincials or even mid-week metros by the looks. Like the way she goes about it. MANGIFERA went very close at Geraldton first-up behind De Grandhomme who has since come out and won at Ascot. No idea what happened second-up? Can bounce back. ETERNAL ROMANCE is through the same race as Cantrix but did finish 2.5L behind her and was over double the price. LOTSAMERIT bolted in at Geraldton but this is much harder. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – CANTRIX WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 5,7,8,10 1,4,11 2,5,6 2,5 Market Market
